Bought this drone despite the many reviews that mention poor image quality in cold weather. I believe the sensor has been upgraded since those complaints were reported. Nonetheless, mine took its maiden flight in 40° f temps and I was very pleased with the video quality (4K 30p, *see screen shot) and how easy it is to use. Overall I’m happy with this purchase. Can’t speak for battery life yet because I’ve only flown it for about 10 minutes at the time of this review. Rated for 31 minutes of flight time, but probably a little less depending on temperatures and flying style.

I wanted to try drone flying. After hours of YouTube videos and careful consideration, I decided on this FIMI Mini 3 drone. It was about a quarter of the price of a DJI. I didn't want to spend a bundle on something, fly it a few times, and put it in a closet. The Fimi has many features for the money and also has many positive reviews. I am quite happy with this drone. It flys very well and the features work quite nicely. The photo and video are quite good. I paired the controller with a Hanatora 4.7-12.9 Inch Tablet Holder Mount, AuviPal 240W USB C Coupler, and a six-inch USB-C cable. It works perfectly, and the mini 3 is a blast to fly. I am quite pleased with this purchase and glad I didn't drop four times as much money on the "better" brand. This certainly is at least a great beginner drone and is very easy to fly.

Good for a very short distance. Light and easy to use video quality it good but if you use the zoom the quality drastically drops. Overall good short distance drone with okay camera.

This is great drone for the money. Very responsive, good battery life. Has a small issue with the data cable but after several emails it was addressed at FIMI. If you want a small, easy to fly, compact drone look no further.

***Update 10/10/24: I did contact the seller regarding lose of drone because the Return Home function did not work and at first they asked me to return the rest of the product(accessories incl. remote) for a full refund, however they contacted me again and tells me that they will ship a drone only and I was not happy, but agreed to it. It took almost 2-weeks and numerous contacts regarding why it takes so long. I did get the delivery and opened to see it EMPTY... I did not know what to think and suspected them to send me a empty box, but I am suspecting that it was open during the shipping process, because the shipping box was cut open on the bottom and was taped over with clear scotch tape. This was the first bad experience from Amazon purchase and contacted Amazon to investigate regarding it. I did get a full refund after 2-weeks since contacting Amazon, but they did not tell me what happened and I am still questioning about it. It was shipped with USPS and should be investigated by US Post master regarding possible thief within their delivery process, however Amazon is the best and will continue shopping with the confidence. I will be waiting until the Black Friday sale to purchase the drone again. I was very unhappy with this purchase :( ***Original feedback: I used this drone during 5-days of Pacific Coast Hwy trip and lost the drone on my last day of the road trip. It went fine until remote screen froze at the distance of less than 2000-ft and tried to return home by pressing the return home button, but the remote lost reception and waited for half hour to be returned, but never did. It is supposed to return home when it loses signal, but did not work. I cannot return it because it is lost :(. The return home function worked good before this and really liked this FIMI drone until this happened and lost 3-days of great videos I took during the trip on 128-gb micro memory card in it... I am writing to the seller and will wait for the response and update.... So mad about it :(

Hi I originally thought this drone was absolutely useless it wouldn’t connect as I had it it was a paper weight. I had to switch from using my IPhone to using my android tablet and it worked fine . It does freeze here and there and I have had it fly and crash it self but all that doesn’t matter . My family and I were recently caught in the fires in Altadena and Pasadena in the Eaton fire . This drone saved us I don’t know how else to say it . I was able to fly in low visibility Smokey / ash / ember conditions , the moderate to high gusts of winds (at the time 15 mph consistent with gusts 20 - 30 mph ) that pushed the drone around were semi easily controlled and corrected , the gimbal kept on point with 0 interference with picture quality, I was able to use the SAR mode to determine how far fires were burning to my neighborhood as well as my city . The battery life was 30 mins tops but still charging in between uses with the warning of low battery kept things manageable. I was able to go 300 feet up to see fires up to 3 miles away not with huge detail but detail enough I could determine where the fires we located in reference to my self . The build quality over all I would most definitely buy again with out hesitation. It is by far the most useful item I have ever acquired for my bug out emergency key . I can also charge in with my usb c in my truck or solar trickle charger . All in all this drone saved my neighborhood from burning being able to distinguish if smoke , fire or any problems were occurring in my general vicinity able my neighbors and my self to protect our neighborhood. I did lose 1 family home to this fire but I saved 2 of my family homes as well as my other neighborhood . If you need a drone that can take the abuse of a natural disaster and still come out working fine I would suggest with out a doubt to buy this drone . Just have an android handy it doesn’t like IOS .

Je croyais m’offrir un beau jouet … et j’ai découvert un petit bijou. Pilote d’avion, je me régale à faire des photos « aériennes » … depuis le sol lors de mes randos. Techniquement il frise la perfection … si l’on prend un peu soin, qu’on lit la doc (en français sur internet) et qu’on débute tranquillement, sans brûler les étapes c’est passionnant.Côté « durabilité », 249g , on ne peut pas exiger une solidité à toute épreuve, mais moyennant les précautions logiques je le crois parti pour durer. À suivre. En tout cas à 76 ans voilà sans doute une nouvelle passion ;-)

Recently, I purchased the FIMI Mini 3 drone, and my impressions are overwhelmingly positive. The camera is truly impressive: it captures high-quality photos and videos even in low-light conditions. I particularly appreciated that the drone automatically suggested switching to night mode when I started shooting at dusk -- a testament to its thoughtful design. At the same time, the drone weighs only 249 grams (with a protective camera cover, so the flight weight is even slightly lower), allowing it to be flown with minimal formalities. Moreover, before its first flight, the drone automatically updated its firmware, saving me the hassle of doing it manually. Since I already own the FIMI X8 SE 2020, I can confidently say that the progress in the FIMI drone lineup is evident. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. Review for the FIMI Mini 3 After much deliberation between the FIMI Mini 3, DJI Mini 3, and DJI Mini 4K, I finally decided to go with the FIMI Mini 3. As always, Amazon delivered quickly and efficiently. Upon opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised to find everything you need included: a sturdy carrying case, an extra battery, and spare propellers. The drone itself is compact, lightweight, yet feels very solid. A nice touch is the included gimbal protector. The controller feels robust and holds your phone securely in place. I use a Galaxy Fold, and it fits perfectly in the holder. The provided USB-C cable is just long enough for my phone. After inserting the battery and connecting the drone, it immediately prompted me to install an update. This gave me confidence in the software support behind the product. The update went smoothly, and the drone was ready for use in no time. During my first short night flight, the footage was stunning, even at 2 degrees Celsius. I had read that drones can sometimes struggle with low temperatures, affecting the image sensor, but the FIMI had no issues at all. The next day, I flew during the daytime, and everything worked perfectly. The range is more than sufficient; I flew up to 1.5 km without any connection dropouts. Unfortunately, in the Netherlands, we are required to fly within visual line of sight (VLOS), so flying further isn't allowed if the drone is out of sight. I’m looking forward to testing the various tracking modes soon, but for now, I am very satisfied. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality drone without breaking the bank! Updated 1-Star Review for FIMI Mini 3 After much anticipation and initial satisfaction, my experience with the FIMI Mini 3 has been extremely disappointing. As temperatures dropped below 10°C, the image quality degraded rapidly, rendering the footage unusable. This is a known hardware issue with the camera, acknowledged by FIMI but without a viable solution. Ultimately, I returned the drone and opted for a DJI model, which performs flawlessly under the same conditions. If you plan to fly in cooler weather, avoid the FIMI Mini 3. Save yourself the frustration and invest in a more reliable option.
