OXOGood Grips Countertop Cereal Dispenser

I absolutely love the OXO Countertop Cereal Dispenser. It holds a good amount and is a stylish addition to my kitchen. A+

The media could not be loaded. Love that it is so easy to use! My 7 yo and 4 yo can both operate it. It’s made breakfast in the mornings so much easier! My kids can independently get cereal now. Sometimes it has tiny pours- like it’s empty. But I think it’s from the bigger cereal I’m using and I did slightly over fill it the first time causing it to be a bit compacted and not allow cereal to fall down the spout. A simple half tilt backwards resolves that issue and I know not to overfill in the future. The canister locks into the base so it’s not accidentally pulled off or spilled. You can operate using either one or both levers- perfect for left or right handed users. The bottom tray lifts out to be easily wiped down if dirty. Seal is very good- much better than off brand versions!

Cereal stays fresh and dispenser works well, but if that changes I will update my review. This unit was pricier than others, but the reviews of others were not as good, so perhaps you get what you pay for with these dispensers.

I love my cereal dispenser. I am disabled with the use of only one arm and I can't tell you how much this is a time saver and allows me to use less energy. Instead of getting the box and opening it up and trying to pour it with one arm that is weak as it is, all I have to do is push down the lever and I have cereal in a bowl. I probably wouldn't put large cereal in there such as frosted wheats, but I put Chex cereal in there and it seems to work fine, not getting clogged. The only thing that I wish is that they would make this in black. My whole kitchen is stainless steel and black/gray countertops. The white really kind of sticks out, but I've put it in a corner where it can't be seen. Also, the dispenser is taller than it seems in the pictures and the videos. Mine does not fit underneath the countertop. So I put it to the side of a cabinet that I don't open. Just something to keep in mind. Otherwise, I love it.

First one out of OXO that I ever had to assemble myself. Out of the box, it is in a few parts you put together. Sort of makes sense except for the left and right lever. Lever has to be put together onto the main body using the screws provided and instruction says screw until tight. It doesn't go in very easily. I had to try a few times on each side just to get it to fit in tight without feeling flimsy. It made me worry I would end up breaking it since it's not a very strong plastic.Except for the minor assembly task problem, this is a fine product. Size is just right and fits 32 oz of Goldfish snack. Space below dispenser is just the right height to fit a standard soup bowl. White body and clear container looks very nice! Lid is a bit annoying to try to get off when adding more snack because you end up practically lifting the whole container, but it actually is also a positive, because it means seal is very good and it should keep the snack fresh for quite some time.

My teens can’t manage to put cereal and snack containers back in the pantry. This solves the problem by keeping everything tidy. I’ve also purchased one for rice, and it easily withstands the weight. I may even buy another! Hope this review was helpful! 👍🏼

We have a lot of Oxo products in our house, so I know I’m going to get something that’s good quality. Easy to assemble taking about 2-3 minutes. Very sturdy, and easy to use. My wife loves feeding our chipmunk population, so it’s filled with peanuts to make filling ziplock bags easier. Took one bag to get the operation down, but it’s perfect for what we’re using it for. Where my wife used to spend half an hour filling baggies, she’s now done in 3 minutes filling one bag in about 2 seconds.

I've had one for years and wanted to buy a shorter dispenser that I can keep in the pantry. I ended buying a second OXO dispenser. I tried two others but they all have a round wheel type that grabs the food in separated sections that are released as you turn the wheel. The problem is that it crunches the cereal that gets in-between the open crannies and you get a lot of bits and dust. You can hear it grinding as it turns. OXO has handles that are levers that open the bottom to dispense and the amount is always the same. I use one for cat food so two hits on the handle per feeding.
