Mountain Warehouse Pakka Mens Waterproof Rain Jacket - Packable

We live in western PA and it can get really cold and windy. We hike up on the mountain where the temps are even colder plus the wind. I wore a lightweight hoodie under it with just a t shirt and it totally kept the wind out and was very warm. Just make sure to keep the pockets closed because wind will find its way through them. I bought my partner one as well because it is so warm. I would DEFINITELY recommend this jacket. The only thing I don't like is the hood. It sticks up kinda far off my head which is why I wear the hoodie. Other than that this is an awesome jacket and inexpensive. I do not need name brands with high prices.

Exactly what I was looking for! The jacket fits well and is high quality with the seams sealed and reinforced. I also love that the stuff sack in included. The jacket will stuff back into the bag without having to be folded up a certain way. We were looking for a light weight rainjacket to pack for cruises and camping. This fits the bill perfectly!

I absolutely love this jacket! It is so lightweight, yet still strong. Bought it for a Jingle Bell 5K run. I was perfectly comfortable. The hood is wonderful! I can't believe the quality for the AMAZING price! The pockets are deep, inside deep pockets too. Zipper is strong and velcro super strong too. Color is vibrant. Style is modern and athletic. I can't say enough good things. The reason I didn't give five stars is because the only negative thing is that the inside does start to "sweat" and get wet after a few miles of being in the rain. And this is downpour rain though. I don't know if it's condensation from hot body under cold rain, or if the rain kinda leaks through after a while, but either way I still felt very comfortable.

I like the weight and fit of the jacket. Went out in a thunderstorm and it did not leak. So far very pleased with the purchase.

i Have several rain jackets that are waterproof but old and bulky. The ones that are not bulky feel like a garbage bag on.So I am hiking and fishing and thought I would try some of the newer rain jackets since they are packable and more comfortable.I have a frogg togg poncha that works good just a bit uncomfortable. I also recently bought frogg toggs nylon version of a rain jacket. That jacket should not even be considered a rain jacket. Even in. I bought the jacket for my husband and it fits perfectly. The waterproofing works as promised and the jacket is well constructed. "Parka" is not the word I would use to describe this jacket. It is a shell, non-insulated. The temperatures are still cool/cold here in NY. We've had some heavy, drenching rains here. My hubby wore the shell over his regular cool weather jacket, put his baseball cap on with the hood over it. He was a happy man when he returned from her errands, all nice and dry! When the temps warm up, he can wear the shell alone. When I researched these jackets(Amazon also offers great information) regarding waterproofing, they must be breathable. When my hubby wears this shell when it's warm or hot, the jacket must have ways of helping him stay fairly cool. The jacket should not be sealed up or you'd roast and be swimming in your perspiration.I told him they also make matching waterproof pants and he wants those to have when he goes fishing. Caution, these pants are not waders for those fishermen that get right in the water for casting. My hubby doesn't do that kind of fishing.I hate having wet feet, so now I have a pair of waterproof shoes. I hate feeling wet anyway.Also, this jacket is reasonably priced.*Update: this jacket was put to the test as my husband wore it for a 'fishing derby'. The weather was steady rain all day. After just a short period, my husband started getting soaked. Jacket turned out to be a total fail.

I wanted a jacket that I could wear over a sweater. This is well made, has great pockets. The hood gives good coverage.

We bought one of these for our daughter for camp and we loved them so much that we ordered them for the whole family. Great quality at an unbelievable price.
