Wow
Great full tang blade. Edge is pretty blunt so took it to belt grinder. Gave it a run through and since I like shiny and not Damascus I took the finish off. Also changed it to a horizontal draw sheath by removing the existing loop and threading a new piece of leather on. But for the price heck yeah. It'll do the job just like a dirk was designed to. And it ain't for slicing it's for the pokey poke lol

Beautifully Made
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! The craftsmanship that went into this is stunning. The Damascus patterning gives it such a unique quality and the side detailing of the handle is wonderful. It came covered in some kind of grease or oil, which I'm sure is to preserve the metal from rust or something. The only thing I would've appreciated is a little note telling me how to clean and take care of the blade. Also, the sheath doesn't seem to fit it exactly and seems to be a bit big for the knife while also being rough on the inside. The leather has already left very slight marks on the golden part of the hilt. This makes me nervous to sheath and unsheath the dagger.

Ups and Downs
First the Ups - I was looking for a bodice dagger and this was the closest I could find. It is a lovely knife, appears to be well made and, mostly fits my needs. It came shipped in oil and although I would have preferred the oil to be limited to the blade, I can see the difficulty of packaging it that way. The tip was covered with rigid plastic for protection during shipping. Then the Downs - It was advertised as "razor sharp". It's not sharp at all. The balance is terrible, it's very haft-heavy. And there's the sheath. The knife is barely 5/8" at its widest, while the opening in the sheath is 1 1/4" and is made for a single sided knife, not a dagger. Basically, the sheath is not usable for this knife.

Great knife for the money
This a total impulse buy but I am very happy with it. Not tactical or camping for sure. Surprisingly has a good heft to it and is a fun dagger that I use as a letter opener. For 20 buck, can't go wrong.

Do the Math
First off, lets have some truth in advertising. I understand the trend among sellers is to try reaching the maximum prospective buyers by listing several categories of use; such as hunting/camping /defense knife...however THIS is NOT a hunting knife unless of course you are hunting humans. Now lets be blunt, calling this a hunting knife is just a lie designed to sell more knives. The design of this knife makes it very useful as a letter opener, or argument closer, but in a hunting environment this knife breaks or fails on day one! It isn't a hunting knife and shouldn't be listed as one. Deduct one star for misleading advertising.Mine came very well packaged with protective materials which didn't prevent the very tip from being bent slightly right out of the box...even with a hard plastic tip protector! Once free from the wrappings the knife is covered in light oil, & as I went to wipe it off the bent tip grabbed the rag & yanked out a thread or two. Two minutes of stonework fixed the tip perfectly, but THAT should have been done at the factory. Deduct one star for sloppy quality control! Now we need to discuss fit and finish. The Damascus pattern is as good as expected, maybe even better, however none of the rivets are exactly flush with the handle scales, they all protrude half a centimeter above the handle. Then there is the fact that the same problem exists where the handle material meets the bolster, it isn't a smooth, flush fit and it should be, so you guessed it, deduct one star for poor craftsmanship. Finally this knife has absolutely the dullest blade edge I've ever seen fresh from the factory so deduct another star for a very dull blade.I very much like how this blade feels in my hand. It indexes perfectly, and though the balance is off a bit it doesn't seem to hinder shifting your grip. I also like the sheath, good leather with scrollwork, and the knife fits snug & securely. So, yes, I can fix the bent tip and sharpen the edge, but I cannot do anything about the poor fit & finish, what a pity, with just a little more attention to detail this could have been a 5 star knife.

Sheath
The knife is nice, but after I used the sheath on my belt for three days, it fell apart.
