It doesn't explicitly say there's no Linux support in the description, but it also doesn't say it supports it. For a nearly $400 product meant for hobbyist it's a very horrible stance to take to simply pretend Linux doesn't exist. I don't think it's unrealistic to say that most hobbyists these days that are still using these are on Linux. Returned this, not worth spending an extra $100 on a Windows license.

S version is in an X version box. No feet on the S version. Assume the more expensive X version will sound better. You will OVERPAY Amazon for the wrong drive. These drives are available much cheaper from Pioneer. Assume Pioneer will send the correct drive. The drive I received had scratches and appears it had been returned before.
