Networking in Many Different Areas of Life
The Masters of Networking book was a great read because it had lots of articles that pertained to people in all walks of life. I enjoyed the articles on networking to adopt children, mothers networking, the networking habits of children as well as the articles about traditional business networking. The variety of writing styles and points of view made this an interesting and entertaining read. Also, being a busy professional, I liked the short articles so I could pick the book up and read a little.I would highly recommend this book for business professionals and those looking to build support in their life.

A collection of short articles
This book is simply a collection of short articles. Rather than a detailed plan on how to become a master of networking, it gives many short viewpoints on a wide variety of subjects related to networking. The flow was not smooth and therefore the book didn't hold my interest very well.

This book is overrated
Preamble: The book is overrated. Granted that the rating should actually be better than the 1 star I am giving it, but I have never read a book rated 5 stars that is as bad as this book. Consequently, the purpose of this rating is to reduce the overall score.Gripes with the book- Its more about why one should network, rather than specific methods of how to network- The book alludes to all these famous personalities but one somehow gets the feel that quite a few passages are deliberately inserted not for their relevance but so the individual's name can be inserted on the front cover.- The marketing of this book is overzealous

Not what I thought
With big names such as Bill Gates, Colin Powell, Ed Asner on the front and back covers, I thought they would be the ones weighing on their experiences. Not so. "Masters of Networking" is full of "tips", to be sure, but it was not as interesting as I thought and after awhile, became somewhat repetitive. It may "do it" for some people, but I was not impacted.
