The real deal, the 1.5 inch diameter provides a more comfortable, solid grip, the lids are so cool to snap off (they recommend a rubber hammer, and my little one worked perfect to pop em off the flanges, lotsa holes in case yr stud wasn't quite where you thought it was . . ;) . . . nice finish, and the brushed metal texture improves wet grip too . . but the screws . . . no taper, they use a phillips instead of torx . . still, they ARE stainless, and properly drilled holes can be driven into without too much cursing. . AND ADA COMPLIANT

All of the amazon basics grab bars are great!!! The 1.25 is just the right size for myself and my 5' tall wife. We love them and they even come with the appropriate mounting hardware.... They are GREAT!!!! And at a Great Price!!! I used one of the 36" bars as a grab bar/towel bar, so it is dual purpose, can't do that with a regular flimsy towel bar!

If Available Consider The Amazon Used! Just Bought (2) At Huge Discount To Get (2) Brand-new Bars With Open Flaps Advertised As Good Condition! They Are Mint Condition! I Have These Mounted Indoors & Out And Zero Rust! They Are Solid As A Rock Mounted With Only (2) Screws One On Top And One On Bottom When Your Only Going Into A Stud in the Wall. This Product Is Identical to the Home Depot Grab Bars Just Different Brand Names and Packing Materials But Made In The Same Plant With Same Brackets! I Bought The Delta Brand 36" And Figured It Would Be As Good Or Better But I Was Wrong! The Covers That Fit Over The Hardware are crap With The Delta and the Mounting Welded Flanges Only have 3 Holes. The Amazon Basics and Home Depot (SAME PRODUCT) Are More an Industrial Grab Bar with No Fancy Stylish Junk. The 36" Home Depot is $90 and the Amazon Basics is $31.40 and are The Same Exact Identical Product Made in The Same Manufacturing Plant, The Delta Brand Is Different But Not Better! These are Strong and Sturdy. I ordered 2 after my wife had knee replacement surgery to provide support in the bathroom. These are very solid and do a great job. They came with Phillips head screws that did not fill me with confidence, so I installed them with Torx head deck screws. My wide said the bar I put by the bathtub wall was slippery with wet hands so a thin strip of non-skid tape solved that problem. I am very satisfied with these

These are AMAZING! No wonder they have the highest customer reviews! Great quality and I love that the flange is already attached to the bar with 3 holes that are basically close enough to hit a stud. I installed 3 x 16" bars in 3 different fiberglass shower walls and didn't have any issues. Key to use a stud finder first so that you are drilling into a stud! Also made sure to install in the center of the shower walls that is flush with the stud or wall behind it, otherwise you may need to use a spacer. Thanks Amazon for making a high quality product!
