Love it!
This litter box is fantastic; I've had 2 and love them. Extremely easy to use and clean, and it feels much more sanitary too. This particular one was smaller than my old one, and I was worried at first that my cat might not like that it is smaller, but she had no problem with it at all and it is more compact and lighter, which is nice for me as well. Great quality and well worth buying.

Great product & innovative design. Don’t hesitate on buying if you hate scooping litter boxes!
I like it because I don’t have to scoop through poop and pee with a litter scoop as if I’m searching for stinky buried unwanted treasure. No one, and I mean NO ONE likes the smell of a dirty litter box. Especially in their home. And again scooping every day or every other day is a damn dirty and stinky chore. Now all I have to do is roll it on its side and it sifts the poops and pee clumps and collects into a little tray where I can dispose of it into my litter genie or into little bags that I can tie up and put into the garbage (on garbage day or into the trash can outside). Sometimes (as all clumping litter does) the pee clumps and sticks to the bottom. When you have it rolled upside down just tap it on the outside and it will fall off. Roll it back on its side and resift it. Using this, litter genie, and a good quality clumping litter with odor control will keep your house (and the room where the litter box is kept) from smelling like a litter box. Great product. I would advise a Large model for medium to large cats because there isn’t a lot of room in there for them because of the sifter and tray taking up about 1/3 or so of the inside space. I believe I got mine for about $27 and I’ve noticed the price has gone up a bit since I purchased mine. Waiting for the price to drop back down again so I can purchase a second. I wish I had bought 2 at that good price but I wanted to try out the product first...and I am very pleased with it after having it for a few months. Perfect for someone who can’t afford expensive electric litter box scoopers and someone who hates the tedious and stinky chore of scooping litter. I have 2 cats. One is 11 lbs and still growing and another is about 7 months old and 7 lbs so I expect them both to keep growing and their poops and pees to keep getting larger. Large litter box would be ideal, but that model is even more pricey. I hope both sizes prices drop again because I would like to get at least one more of each size. Don’t hesitate on buying this product. The few bad reviews almost stopped me from trying it but I’m glad I didn’t listen to them. All the pieces snapped together perfectly and assembly was a breeze. It’s easy to use once you get the hang of it. I now don’t dread cleaning the litter box anymore and that’s a huge deal for me! This would be a good product for children to teach them to clean up after their pet kitten/cat more easily. Also seems to limit dust in the air because again the sifting is contained inside the box. I recommend this to anyone and everyone with a cat or multiple cats. Would probably work great for any litter trained mammal like a ferret. 10/10 love this litter box!

So cool - 😎
THIS - is exactly what I needed. It helped save the relationship between my cat and I, haha. It's a tad small for my young adult sized Siamese Cat. I think it's a good size for only kittens as it's the size of like a toadstool ottoman or a the smallest Carry on luggage in a set with wheels ( to help you imagine the height and width, for depth add on more behind it). Most cats that I have seen are the same size as my cat so, you probably want the next size up. However, I decided to go ahead and use mine. And the method is so simple. My cat knew just what to do with it and within minutes of setting it up! The flipping method worked for gathering all of the poo which is the worst! But I recommend emptying every day or every other day using that flipping method to avoid caking of litter. By the second day, I had no caking and it got the poops out the little "easy peasy". However, I do kinda wish it had a flap or something, because I could definitely smell it when my cat did it's business. 🤢 Probably gonna move it away from a common place in my living room. But I am so happy not to have to shift through his stuff every day and not even have to change the litter completely. It did get some loose litter but not much, it just looked moist. Not like dry fresh litter. I looked at the inner line to make sure that it wasn't too full. They could probably come out with some cool colors and designs for this if the want to now, cause I want another one lol. Oh and last thing, you definitely want a litter matt to catch the litter from when your kitty exits the litterbox and tracks. I could audibly hear it fall from his feet and onto the floor. Finally, as an added plus, this is great for my back. No heavy lifting required, just roll and empty. Only lifting is your clean litter to refill. Overall, I am a happy customer and I feel so much more loving towards my cat when I don't have to think about his poo! This is my first cat and this is exactly what I needed because I dunno about you but I am not ready to spend hundreds for an auto cleaner. This is like the next best thing and affordable. I hope that this helps!

The rock and clean concept is great but this model is too small
I have been using a rock and clean litter box for several years and love it! It is simple and easier than scooping from a traditional litter box. My old one was wearing out, so I went online and got a replacement. I did not, however, pay enough attention to the details of this particular model. It is SMALL, much smaller than my previous model, and there are definitely disadvantages with the size. The smaller size does not give the cats as much room to do their business. Even with cleaning it out every night, I consistently have poop stuck on the bottom. I have tried filling the litter a little deeper, but the opening of the box is kind of low and my cats kick the litter out of the opening onto the floor. So my choice is to scrape poop from the interior of the box or clean up litter outside of the box - every day. My old, bigger little box did not have this problem. The interior was bigger and the sides were taller. The other issue I have is that is that if your cat poops in the back of the box, it does not end up in the scooper that is pulled out because the scooper does not extend the full length of the box. Unfortunately for me, my cat always poops in the back and therefore, I have to scoop that out of the main box or tilt the box to get that poop moved towards the front of the box. So, instead of just rolling and throwing away the poop in the scoop, I am now scraping poop out of the interior, through the small opening of this little rolling litter box. I have been using the box for over a month and am fairly disappointed. I had such a great experience with my other box, that I tried to make adjustments to like this one as well. But I truthfully just wish that I would have looked closer at the dimensions and purchased a larger one. If you had very limited space and absolutely needed the smaller box, this may be the right purchase for you. Otherwise, I would recommend getting a bigger model.

Not worth the money
Plastic is very thin. It has a plastic grate that folds down that us supposed to strain the waste from the litter when you roll the litter box. It has no way to secure it just plastic nibs that stick up that are supposed to keep it in place. It doesn't. As soon as you roll it, that piece breaks free and slides. It doesn't strain anything but does have cat litter roll out the opening when you roll it. Not worth $53. Just a covered litter box now that I have to strain with a hand held strainer. Could have bought one of those for $15 at Walmart.

IF YOU USE IT AS DIRECTED, IT WILL WORK AS DIRECTED AND IT'S AMAZING!
I always longed for a Litter-Robot but I just could never justify the cost. The OmegaPaw Rolling Litter box uses the exact same mechanism to sift the litter, but you just do it manually. It was easy to assemble. I agree that the clips are flimsy and I wish the plastic was thicker, but the thing just works. I slowly roll it over, tap the bottom, roll it back and level the litter, then empty the collection drawer into the Litter Genie next to it. It takes less than a minute and I give it a roll in the morning and in the evening. There is absolutely no smell and I don't come in contact with the litter. The Secrets of Success with the OmegaPaw 1. Use a premium clumping litter. I use Dr. Elsey and it clumps into chunks of cement, which is no problem for the sifter. If you use a sub-standard litter, or flushable clumping litter, the clumps will just break apart. 2. Do no overfill. You should have no more litter in the bottom than would fill the side chamber, otherwise litter spills in to the collection chamber. 3. Roll it 90 degrees slowly to allow the loose litter to drain through the sifter, then roll it another 45 degrees and tap on the bottom. You should hear the chunks fall into the collection drawer. 4. Slowly roll it back down and give it a roll in the other direction to even out the litter. Remove the waste and dispose. 5. Approximate the amount of litter in the waste and replenish the litter with a couple of scoops. 6. Clean it at least once daily. Over time, the clumps will migrate to the bottom and can stick if left too long. It took me a couple of tries to get the right amount of litter and to figure out the mechanical action. The key is to roll slowly and allow the litter to drain completely before rolling the waste into the drawer. Again, I agree that the clips are flimsy and one time the lid popped off during "rolling". Now I am just more careful, and it hasn't been a problem If it happens again, I plan to try a binder clip to hold it. I cannot recommend this product more. I'd willingly pay a little more for thicker plastic, better clips for the lid, and a larger usable litter pan area. The small area makes it imperative to clean daily... which I do because it is so easy.

At Best, You'll Still Scoop.
Summary- Poor QC combined with improper use caused many negative reviews here, but the real issue is that it doesn't 100% eliminate the need to hand-sift litter, possibly because it's a little small. And if you have to scoop at all, you might as well scoop the whole thing. Try a different product. 3 stars, minus 1 for lazy quality control. First things first, this product does not require any serious modification, with one fairly large caveat* This product is clearly mass-produced, which is fine, but the quality control is lax. If yours doesn't fit together right, either give it the extra push (or quick shave with a scissors blade, box cutter, et cetera) it needs to fit together, or return it. For something that doesn't see good quality control, from a design standpoint everything should fit like a glove. When I assembled mine, I immediately noticed that the folding screen did not pop into its groove flush on both sides because it was not cleanly cut. Even without shaving, all it took was a little extra pressure and focus on the offending side. Bam, "screen falls out/doesn't sift litter" resolved. That internal edge also would have prevented the top lid from seating flush over the upper lip on the base, the main method of sealing in litter when the box is rolled. Boom, "clips don't hold lid on / litter spills or leaks / poop falls on floor" resolved. But at the end of the day, do you want something that has to be carefully put together, while monitoring for product-defeating defects? No, this thing is four parts, it should snap together on the first try and work flawlessly every time. But thanks to manufacturing defects like poorly cut plastic, that's not the case. So one star off the top since nobody wants a litter box they have to baby-sit. As for its actual sifting ability... sort of. Our cats are MENSA-certified geniuses. When your genius urinates on the filtering grate or the back wall of the box, it will stick, and you'll still have to scrape it out. Nothing you can do about that. And if you have to dig around with a scoop anyway, ask yourself how much time, effort, and ick you're really saving yourself. Which brings me to my last concern. It's a bit small in there. Our cats are a healthy but sizeable 12 pounds. With a usable interior area of 12"x14" at the widest, larger cats have just about exactly enough room to do their business and not an inch more... which increases the likelihood of urine on a surface where it'll stick and not roll into the tray. For best results, wait for clumping before rolling. But at best, you'll still scoop.

Makes litter box clean up a breeze.
I love this litter box. I hate scooping messes out of litter boxes, so this product is perfect. I've been looking for a self-cleaning box but hadn't purchased one yet for three basic reasons: price, need for a power source and having to use a particular type of litter. This box is very reasonably priced. I'm going to buy more to replace all the litter boxes in my home with this type. It requires no power beyond a little manual effort. When the box is rolled on its side the litter falls through a grate and the mess drops into a drawer. Just roll it back and pull out the drawer, ta-da, box cleaned. This box is also great because you can use any litter. I noticed that most of the self-cleaning boxes had their own litter, catching you in an endless cycle of having to buy expensive litter, so you don't mess up the machine. I don't buy into that, so this box is a much better option. As a bonus, my cats love it. It doesn't have any bizarre parts or makes any noises that might scare off the cats (like starting to run while the cat is trying to use the box). If I had one caution, it is a bit small. I have a fairly large male cat. He uses the box, but it's a tight fit for him. If you have a cat in the range of a Maine Coon, this box probably won't work for you. The construction of the box seems sturdy. I've only had mine for about a week, so I may have to amend that statement, but we'll wait and see. I'm hoping it holds up because I really like its functionality. Definitely worth the $40 price tag.
