Really great dye!
I love clairol, it’s really good and the exact color on the box. I recently went to a hair salon and they didn’t do my hair so great, this helped my hair look soo much better! Highly recommend 4R if you want a deep auburn color/ or a light dark copper. Not to mention it also brings everything you need, gloves, a bottle to mix your dye, and conditioner. And very clear instructions. Do be aware it can stain heavily on different surfaces 😭 also it smells soooo good. Definitely get this.

This Dye is Amazing
I have been using Clairol for 4 years now and I can't believe how lucky I was to land on a brand so good straight out of the gate. Easy application and it makes my hair SO soft. I get mistaken for a real red head ALL the time and get nonstop compliments on my hair.It does start to fade towards week three but if fades into a pretty strawberry blonde shade that I still love. I only wash my hair once a week but I also don't use any hair color products to keep the color vibrant. If you do, I imagine it'll help with any fading.I have very long hair so I need two boxes. But the bonus is that the conditioner lasts me a whole month. So I save money on conditioner too!Overall, I'm always super proud to say what brand I use when people ask about my hair. It's genuinely like a spa day when I do my wash after dying because my hair is SO SO soft and voluminous. I recommend it!

Good
This was exactly the color I was looking for. The tone is beautiful and covers gray hairs well. But after 3 weeks I can see the color coming off and some gray hairs reappear. In the following photos, the first is my color before coloring, the second is after and the third is after 3 weeks

Love my color
Love the color. I have always enjoyed the product Nice'n Easy. Goes on easy and comes off just as easy. The color has a good hold time usually the only fading I get is my grow out.

Great color!
This is the first time I have used this Clairol hair product. Very pleased with the color! It was even better than the more expensive colors I have used before. Highly recommend!

Great product and price on hard to find color
Used this brand for years and always great result. Best price I have found anywhere. Will continue to buy here as I cannot find this color in my county and supply for hair colors are either limited or shelves are empty. Buying again.

No longer the old liquid formula
Update 8/20/18: From 2 stars to 3, maybe 3.5:I mix two colors together: 3 parts 4, Dark Brown, formerly 120; and 1 part 4R, Dark Auburn, formerly 112. This was easy with the old liquid formula, but the new creme is quite thick, which makes it difficult to get a good measurement. The developer is thick also, making the mixed consistency like a thin pudding.Pros: The color goes on easily with a salon brush; no dripping. The new formula seems to cover grays better than the old formula.Cons: The smell is very strong and the color burned my scalp a bit. Not badly, but the old formula did neither. As others have said, the color is darker in the new version than the old, which is probably more noticeable in the brunette shades. Also as others have said, this version stains horribly. If some drips on your counter or sink area, wipe it off as soon as you notice it.For skin staining, which is also worse, this is what I do:Before coloring, I swipe my forehead, ears, cheeks, around the eyes, and neck area under my ears with lip balm. It works as well as vaseline but doesn't leave a greasy residue on your hair. An inexpensive one from the $ store works fine. If you still have staining after coloring, Roux Clean Touch works quite well (available here on Amazon). I have some from the 70's -- my mom was a cosmetology vocational teacher and I still have some of her "inventory" -- so I hope the new version hasn't changed much. One last con: My hair seems more dull and dry compared to the beautiful soft results I got with the old formula. I'm hoping this will change with my first after-coloring shampoo.Pics are from coloring with new formula.Update: Don't mix the old liquid color formula with the new activator/peroxide! I had some color left of the old liquid formula, since I mix colors and only use half each time. I assumed the new peroxide would be the same as the old, and mixed it with the old liquid color. It mixed together fine, I applied it with a salon brush as usual; it was quite drippy. But after rinsing, I noticed the color just rubbing off on the towel, and my hair felt thick and unrinsed. Rinsed some more; same result. I finally had to shampoo it out, something I've never had to do. The result is OK, but I'm looking for another brand of haircolor.4R, Dark Auburn, formerly 112"Cozy Critic" said it perfectly:"While I like and have used the "old" Nice n Easy for years, what is being sold here is the new Nice and Easy product. The pictures on Amazon show the old liquid formula, but that's not what was delivered."The same happened with my order of Dark Auburn. Amazon was nice enough to give me a refund, since the product isn't described and pictured properly.Like other reviewers have said, I'm going to have to find a replacement haircolor, after ten years with Nice and Easy.
