Skull Shaver - Pitbull Silver PRO SX5 Head and face Shaver

I’ve been using this item for nearly a year, and I’ll definitely buy another when this one wears out. I shave my head every other day and use it on my face around my goatee, and it delivers a very close, comfortable shave. It’s incredibly easy to use, even with my severely arthritic hands. I use it both dry and in the shower, and it’s truly waterproof. It fits my hand perfectly, and I often find myself holding it between my fingers rather than gripping the base. It has also significantly reduced the amount of time I spend shaving or cutting my hair each week.

I've been using the silver skull shaver for a few months, and I love it. Right off the bat, I would suggest buying the gold version. It wasn't available when I bought mine, so I went with the silver. It works great. I would recommend this to anyone. Why the gold over the silver? Why not the platinum? The platinum is good for some one who travels alot, I guess. Let me back up a bit. The battery life of the Silver, is 30 minutes. There is no digital display letting you know how much of the battery is left, so you end up (atleast I do) charging it after every use. The last thing you want, is to be shaving, and the battery dies half way through. I shave every 3 or 4 days, and the shaver is on for about 10 minutes or so. Obviously it's on longer if I go 5 or 6 days instead. If you go on vacation, you will end up bringing the cord with you. The Gold, and Platinum, both have a 90 minute battery. You can use it for a week, without worrying about charging the battery, and there is a digital display, letting you know how much battery is left. The platinum also has a travel lock. When engaged, it keeps the shaver from turning on in your luggage. I don't know how that could happen, but it must happen enough to have made them add this feature to the 200 dollar shaver. The silver is 100 dollars, while the gold is only 10 dollars more at 110. I don't know if motor strength increases with the different shavers, but I have run in to 1 issue. While shaving my skull, the blades will stop from time to time. It didn't start until I had the device for about 5 months. I try not to put much pressure on it, but sometimes you have to use pressure to get the closest shave possible. It doesn't stop evey time I use it, only once in a while, but I felt it was worth mentioning. Also, the shaver can be used wet or dry, with or without shaving gel or cream. I use nothing. I do, however, put lotion on my dome after I shave it. You can get it on Amazon. It's called Bee Bald Heal Post-shave Healing Balm. It's very soothing. I'm sure just regular old hand lotion would do the job as well, but the Bee balm helps to prevent bumps and redness. It's great if you are going to shave, then go out. You don't want any redness, or bumps. Especially in the back of your head where there can be some folds. Cleaning the device is extremely easy. I should also mention that the design makes it very easy to hold. I haven't seen anything else out there, like it. I couldn't be talked into buying a different type of shaver. Pitbull has come a long way, and these skullshavers are amazing.

Small, compact, and very easy to use. Gives a completely clean, sleek shave and works better than using a razor and shaving cream. I purchased this with my own money and have had no issues so far

Love it. My first head shaver ever. I was using a regular face razor for my whole face and head. Wasnt terrible but this does the head shaving way better with a cleaner finish. Reasonable price and quality is great. See how long it lasts.

So far so good! My husband is a hairy man. His arm hair grows straight into his back hair. We don’t mind his chest being hairy, but I prefer to not be married to Chewbacca! We went with the lower model because we didn't feel the need to go for the more expensive one since it was for his body, not a bald head. Pros: we’ve used it twice so far and it has done a great job. I used to straight razor his back, yeah you read that right…straight razor. If it that close, no. You feel very very little stubble bits but it’s way smoother than just a beard trimmer. Charging: we didn’t charge it between the two uses and it survived. My husband also has a lot of real estate back there being a big man (benches 500 and military presses 385 I think he said) so his back is thick and wide and shoulders are big. We used it for his back, upper arms above his elbows, and shoulders. It didn’t slow down either. Blades: we aren’t sure about this yet. We’ve only used it twice so haven’t had to replace or see how it works when it starts to go dull. Size: I did it for my husband. I do have larger hands for a girl (I can palm a guys basketball) but this isn’t hard to use or too big for even me. In the videos it shows them holding it right above the blades, below the large black box. I actually held the black box and felt that more comfortable. Cons: none yet so far. It does what it says. Charging and use, was easy.

Works really well but if the hair is a little longer many a half inch it kinda pulls instead of shaves. You have to go slow but works really well

So in 2021 I decided to try one of these skull shavers. Since it was the first time trying and I was skeptical on this thing even working as advertised. I ordered the (cheaper) palm shaver with the 3 section cutters. To my surprise it worked very well. Gave me a really smooth shave. 4 yrs later, the Palm shaver wouldn't hold a charge anymore. Although I was still was able to use it while it was plugged in, I decided to buy another. This time I wanted to level up to the silver that came with the 4 section blade. I expected better performance, but no matter how many times I would shave over my dome I could not get a smooth shave. Luckily all the parts are interchangeable. So i just popped off the 4 blades and used my old 3 blades and got a smooth shave. Now I know that I should've saved some money and just replaced them with the same Palm Shaver. I'm pretty sure some men would prefer the 4 blades over the 3 blades. I'm going to order the 5 section blades and see how well they shave. The different blade set ups may matter more than the Palm, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. Easy to clean, easy to replace the blades, easy to travel with, easy to use while driving to work or even use at work because of the no mess shaving. Plus if the battery goes you can still use while plugged into an outlet or usb A hub.
