Amazingly tender!
This is absolutely the freshest and most tender beef jerky I’ve ever eaten (and I eat a lot of beef jerky.)

Tillamook proving why they're the best yet again
I never knew Tillamook made jerky but when I first discovered this, I knew it would be good because everything Tillamook makes is stellar. Cheese, ice cream, and now jerky. And I was not wrong. This is some of the tenderest, tastiest "normal" smoked beef jerky I've had. Granted all beef jerky is expensive so it's not something I normally eat but I buy one of these every chance I get. The only negative is I literally cannot keep a bag in the house for 24 hours after I buy it. It can't be done. Unless it's as an empty bag of trash after I eat it immediately. It's not all tender all the time but most of the bag usually is. I'm not one of the weird people who "likes" dry, scraggy, stringy beef jerky so this is my current top tier jerky unless I find something better.

If you like very soft, oily jerky, might be for you
The price for the size of thw bag isnt bad. But I got this because I was told it was tough jerky. Not soft or tender. This is some of the softer, fattiest, oiliest jerky ive had in a while. Its a good brand, but the jerky I got here is just not good. Im not sure I'll finish the bag, because the combination of the soft jerky with the random chew of a vein of fat is just so off putting.

The BEST for affordable, tasty, jerky!
I've been to the actual Tillamook factory in my adventures around the Pacific Northwest and visiting locations such as Cannon Beach nearby it. Good memories, and glad to see that this brand is always readily available on Amazon Fresh! Seems just as fresh as any packs bought locally in Oregon.Jerky can get incredibly expensive when you shop around various internet vendors, yet I always add a pack on my orders. Better to have a drawer full than risk running out of jerky! It's by far my favorite snack and find these quite affordable.

"There is a big sniff of BBQ smoke out of the sack"...
Well, they did not lie, there is a nice big waft of smoke coming from this sack. The REVIEW:COLOR -- red hue to itPORTION -- thick smaller piecesSNIFF -- big sniff of BBQ smokeSPICE -- level 2 or 3 out of 10 (with 10 being very spicy)Note: I have GERD so I do not eat much spice, so bear that in mind.TEXTURE -- softer but with standard jerky chewiness (especially after refrigerated); moderately thick smaller pieces; lightly chewy textureTASTE -- I think the smoke factor is light but about right as too much smoke may turn some people off. I could maybe have used a touch more, but only a touch. Good meat flavor and spice with smoke on nose and palate. No black pepper taste thankfully. It is very tasty.USE -- When I need a protein snack I go to something like this or various nuts. This lists it as 1 ounce = 10 grams of protein which is perfect.

Just. Not. Good.
The only positive: it's not quite as oily as Jack Link's. That's it. The negatives are many: no discernable meat flavor, they hype the "real hardwood smoke" claim but it cannot be tasted. Overwhelming flavor of brown sugar, which belongs on ham, not beef jerky. Lingering aftertaste of red pepper, which isn't bad in the abstract, but not after brown sugar hits you in the face. Meat texture is not very beeflike, hard to describe. And the massive brown sugar hit (it's the second ingredient) is why it requires refrigeration. You think cowboys on the range had refrigerators? Real jerky doesn't have to be refrigerated. Good jerky doesn't leave an oily film on the bag. Good jerky tastes like beef. This is Just. Not. Good.
