You can get it @ Walmart for 5.79 2pk. Online or in store.

Q: Too expensive. Nine bucks a piece? Is there a pimento shortage or something?

Each time I have ordered Pimento Cheese Spread by Kraft, the order has been filled upon request, so I am not aware of any shortage

Q: Should it be refrigerated?

I refrigerated it after opening.
