VT COSMETICS Red Booster Reedle Shot 100, Spicule Microneedling Serum
Straight up, I was down for a product that lists "dragon blood" as an ingredient. I am a ludicrous person when it comes to skin care. Also, I didn't have anything else quite like this product in my skin care routine.I don't generally have sensitive skin, and I also haven't found this product particularly irritating, which I was expecting. I haven't seen a noticeable difference in my skin yet (I've only used it a handful of times). I'm continuing on because I like the theory behind this serum, even though I'm not 100% convinced it can do what it claims. I'd really like to try it after doing a mini-microneedle treatment at home, but am still working up the courage. I do like how easily I was able to work this into my routine - you're supposed to use this serum as the first step of whatever you do, on bare skin, so I like that I was able to just add it in without changing anything else. I feel like that will make it a lot easier to tell what sort of effect it has long-term.

Still Deciding How This Fits in My Routine
For now, this gets a 3.5, rounded down to 3 stars. I have sensitive skin and had been a bit afraid to use it on my face, but did a few patch tests and it seemed ok. I have tried it a few times now, and found it does cause tingling and warmth on my skin. As of now, I don’t think there have been any noticeable improvements just yet.I found the instructions for this a bit confusing because it says to use it as “step zero” but to me, that implies using it on an unwashed face, which I think is a terrible idea. So I use this as step 1, I guess, if I count washing my face as step 0. I also have struggled to determine the best skincare to use after this since I don’t want to cause irritation for my skin or interfere with this product. I have dry skin so I prefer having a moisturizer at minimum after this product. I’m still figuring it all out.I appreciate that this is unscented and the ingredients are skin safe.

Great Serum for Smooth and Bright Skin
Came well packed and in time. This one is a very good serum that helps make skin look smooth and bright. It feels light and absorbs quickly without leaving any stickiness. The serum works well to reduce wrinkles and makes the skin feel firmer. It also helps with redness and gives a nice healthy glow. This serum is easy to use and suits all skin types. It really helps improve the skin’s texture and leaves the face looking fresh and glowing. A great choice for anyone wanting to keep their skin young and radiant.

Spicule serum
This is the second time I’ve used a spicule product. And I have done micro-needling before. This serum isn’t as uncomfortable as either… The spicules are supposedly facilitating better absorption of skincare actives by poking teeny tiny holes in your skin with a dry marine sponge, that later (within hours) dissolves completely. If you ever slid down a winding fiberglass slide (or it’s poles) as a kid, then found your thighs/ forearms red and tingling from the itty bitty fiberglass slivers embedded in your skin… it feels like a whisper of that, but not nearly as irritating or long lasting. So theoretically this is helping to get the biggest bang for your buck on your skin treatments. Including some other good ingredients in this dragon blood product itself. It feels nourishing, and somehow the red color contributes psychologically to that feeling.I would be hesitant to combine potentially irritating products together… just like when microneedling, I baby my skin instead of layering on peels and acids. There are different levels of spicule containing products… I don’t know if that means more, harder, larger, or all of the above. But if you’re new to this type of product, I’d start with the lowest level first and see how you like it.

Interesting
Serum has micro silica particles to minic microneedling. I've used a few of these type of serums and im on the fence on whether I like them or not. I patted on some of the serum and i do notice there is a mild "prickly" type of sensation that lasts even after I applied a follow up essence. i do think the particles help to allow products to better penetrate the skin. There was no obvious irritation or redness after use although the serum does have a dark coloring. I did like the addition of antioxidants in this version. There is no strong scent or fragrance.
