This device is not much better than a random number generator. I wanted to get a baseline so did not have anything to drink for several days. I took a measurement and get 0.02. A few minutes later, I take another and get 0.20. wait another couple of minutes and I get 0.00. Another few minutes and I get 0.01. I tried it on a friend who had a few drinks and got basically the same results, just a bunch of random results varying from 0.00 to about 0.20.It's possible that my device is defective, but if you got one, be sure to try to get a baseline before you rely on any of the numbers it produces.

This is a joke. I got it to check my husband's alcohol level because he just got out of treatment. I don't drink though, so I tested it when I first got it and as expected I got a 0.00 reading. After having a single 4oz. glass of wine and then testing the recommended 20 mins later, it said I had a BAC of 0.14, almost 2 times the legal limit. Checked another 15 mins later, same result. If I could rate this 0 stars I would! And report it!!! PLEASE don't waste your money!!!

Horrible. Every time anyone blows, it is always a .19 doesn’t work at all. Tried it dozens of times, different people, different days. Garbage

EDIT: I was in fact drunk when I wrote this, after I posted I read the description and saw that it was rated at 0.190, confused with another. I am terribly sorry for the bad review, this is INDEED an excellent breathalyzer!! formerly 2 stars, now 7 stars! Thank you JASTEK!-------------------------------------I thought this was a nice piece of equipment. It's great for lightweights. But for serious drinkers, I've personally attempted to get it over a 0.190, it just won't go. even if I blow a 0.190, take a shot and hit it immediately, it doesn't even change. From what I understood it will score up to 0.500, which is false in my testing. over a month i've been using it. Just saying, it's great for those who don't drink regularly but for those that do and drink heavily, consider yourself sober at a 0.190. Have a good day.

I had got my daughter a cheaper one for her 21st birthday and that cheap one was reading her way above the legal limit when having had just one beer so it was not accurate at all. She tried this one both before she had a beer and again after one beer and two beers and it seems to be really a lot more accurate. Well she normally uses Uber when she goes out and have drinks this is the nice tool to have if she has one drink along with dinner just make sure that she is safe to drive even if it’s been a couple hours after having a drink and having a meal before getting behind the wheel. Overall I am happy with this purchase it seems to be quite accurate, arrived on time and as promised by seller.

It is either that this is extremely inaccurate and inconsistent or it is just a random number generator.

This is perfect to keep yourself and friends safe from making a bad decision. Works right out of the box and seems pretty accurate to me. Highly recommended.

This product is not accurate at all. I tried it on several different occasions at different toxicity levels just to try it out. My friend had 2 bloody Marys and I had 1/2 of a mimosa and she blew a .01 and I blew a .15. I outweigh her by 50 pounds.
