Great Tone For Vintage Blackface Fender Twin!!
I was looking for speakers for a basket case '67 Fender Twin Reverb I purchased, and the Jensen C12's have returned it to its former glory. When I purchased the amp, I was really disappointed by the sound. It was all harsh high's and low's and didn't have that warm Fender tone that I was used to from my '64 Fender Concert 4x10. I purchased the Jensen's on the recommendation of a friend that runs vintage gear for Guitar Center and I haven't been disappointed. Come to find out, whoever had owned the amp previously installed bass sub-woofers. I'm not sure if they were an idiot that didn't know what they were doing, or if they were an evil bastard that pulled the original speakers and sold them for a premium. Either way, they deserve a swift kick in the ass. I've had the speakers for about a month, and have logged about 30 hours of playing time. The warm tone has been resorted and the more I play, the better they sound!

Make a good amp better!
Bell like highs, creamy mids, and a tight clear bass. It made my Fender Champion 40 sound much better than with the stock speaker. Jensen is a great choice for upgrading a Fender amp and pairs well with the Fender sound/vibe that was intended.

Replaced a Celestion V30, so much happier with the Jensen
I picked up a stageright 1x12 cab on the cheap. It came with a Celestion Vintage30, which I quickly determined was not for me. Swapped in this Jensen C12N and voila! I'm using this with a HX stomp through the effects return of an orange terror stamp. I went through a lot of setup iterations with the stomp trying to get a tube-snob-satisfying tone at home and I finally have it.

Diverse and clear
Built a 15" extension cabinet. Used 3 vintage ceramic and alnico speakers but wasn't ever happy. Got this and VIOLA!!! On a Strat, every toggle is very distinct and at all volume levels the sounds are just amazing. My lap steel loves it.

Bottom end not as strong as reviews
I onw 1958 Ampex amplfied tube hifi unit with 16 ohm woofers/speakers. One woofer finally gave out after 60 years. I ordered the Jensens, as they are generally really good reliable speakers. They arrived and matched exactly size, magnet weight, and ohms. I installed replacement first and noticed immediately the low bass was not as strong as the other 1958 Ampex original still in unit. It was extremely apparent as my wife noticed from across the room. After double checking wiring, switched +/-, the low bass was just not what the Ampex originals produced. I read the reviews that mentioned good low end toned and that is why I chose these Jensens. I kept going and replaced the remaining woofer sat back and listened and the the clarity is superb, mid and upper are wonderful, but there is much less bottom end than the 60 year old originals. I find this both disheartening and have to be amazed at the quality of this 6o year old equipment, I will stick with these Jensens as they are super in every other aspect, It is possible these are not a great choice for this application, but on specs they are basically identical.

I put this in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 4 amp, complemented by 5881 power tubes to replace the higher headroom 6L6GCs. I had a similar setup with my original made in USA Hot Rod but with the Weber speaker. Being in Canada the Weber with basic price and shipping would have cost a bit over 100 dollars more so I decided to try Jensen. I'm good with this. Once you break it in, when you turn up the volume you get a nice mild but creamy breakup that is perfect for blues or for rock where you want that tone. You can keep the treble at mid and bring up the base and it will sound very, very good in this amp. I think the Weber might be a little better, but that might be my loyalty bias (even though I bought the Italian made Jensen this time). Jensen does a good job with this.
