I use these notebooks with fountain pens. The paper is great! It's smooth enough for a pleasant writing experience, thick enough that I can use both sides even with medium nib pens and dark ink, and the ruling includes tiny dots on the lines so I can line things up vertically without the distraction of a full grid.

Beware Americans, A5 is actually a bit small (little bigger than a DVD case) but it's more than satisfactory for my needs. Also don't pull out any pages, you'll start to unravel the entire thing. I have found this to be really good for journaling and writing prose.

When I first heard about this company I wanted to buy the smart binder but didn't really want to fork out the price they want so I decided bc I wanted to make sure the paper wasn't going to be cheap and that I actually liked it I bought these first I gave one to my husband that uses it to sketch/draw/ notes/brainstorming/ journaling and I used the other 2 I used 1 for work for my scripts/notes and the other I use for more of a journaling. I love the paper it's 100% not cheap paper... only complaint I have is when writing with my lamy fountian pen it does this like spider/bleeding thing and it's only with my fountian pens.

I love these notebooks. If you’re a normal person than the price might be a little high, but I’m picky, and I think it’s worth it. I used this brand when I lived in Japan and now I can’t part with it. I write a LOT and it doesn’t bleed through the papers so I can happily write all over both sides of the notebook. I also use erasable pens and I can erase to my hearts content without the papers tearing. I abuse these books and the pages never fall out. I really love the Kokoyu campus page quality. They are very smooth but only comes with 100 pages each book. That is a bit pricey. Apart from that, the quality is pretty amazing, you will be addicted to using these books to take notes and there will be no going back!!

These are great notebooks, better quality for the price than anything I can find in stores here in the US. I was skeptical of the fact that they have both dots and lines, thinking that it might make the page look too messy, but they are very unobtrusive, and I normally forget the dots are there while I am writing. This paper is great for italic fountain pens. The ink does not feather or bleed.The size does appear to be A5, contrary to what one reviewer says. The letter B on the cover seems to refer to the 6mm ruling, not the size of the paper.
