Don't miss the obvious
I just bought my second Pace Pal. My first one lasted about 2 years which I think is great for electronics in the water. A great & serious training tool. The workouts you can devise are endless AND effective for swimming faster. Compared to the other underwater pace clocks on the market, Pace Pal is superior in design and functionality. My only criticism is the name. "Pace Pal" sounds like a toy. This is no toy.

Nice product but started to leak and failed shortly after the 1 year warranty expired.
Nice product but started to leak shortly after the 1 year warranty expired. Buttons were stiff from the beginning as stated in the product description because of the waterproofing. After about a year, the buttons seemed to get more difficult to work and eventually started to leak water into the unit which failed shortly there after. It was very nice while it worked. I haven't found a better alternative. I saw another recent 5 star review that stated their unit failed after about 2 years. If this lasted me 5 years I would probably give it five stars, but I think the cost of this unit is far to expensive to only last a year.I used this product daily for that year. It would likely last longer with fewer uses.

Great Clock---needs more weight
I bought this Pace Clock for use in a swim spa. Overall it's been a fantastic purchase that gets used every other day at a minimum. The two negatives I have are minor. 1. While the clock feels substantial out of the water as soon as its in the water it is obvious that it doesn't have enough weight. When you press the start/stop button it's easy to move the clock out of position. In my swim spa if I put the jets on high then the clock gets moved about by the swirling water. I easily fix this by sliding two bags of 5 pound diving weights in between the clock and it's swivel base, but there should be an option for a heavier base for those that have swim spas or just want to ensure the clock doesn't move about during use. 2. It would be nice if it was also a real clock and provided the time of day [in 12 or 24 hour format] which could be displayed either in a smaller font above the Pace Clock or pop up on screen at designated intervals. The positives. 1. Really easy to use. 2. Very legible. 3. Great case that allows for safe transportation. 4. Company President that stands behind his product and is available for questions. When I first opened the box a couple of business cards from the Company President fell out. I wondered if I could just leave the pace clock in the water as I'm not taking it to a public pool so I called the guy and left a message saying I had some questions. He called me back within two hours and was really easy to talk to and obviously very enthusiastic about his product. He recommended I take the clock out after each use because while it is waterproof leaving the clock in a pool for weeks/months at a time would probably cause the silicon seals to degenerate due to chlorine etc.I definitely recommend this product.

Great tool for long swims
I have been using this product for several weeks now and am happy with the purchase. I do straight swims of 3000 to 6000 yards. In the past, i would time my swims but i wouldn't be able to check my pace until i was finished. I wear eye glasses and, while swimming, I can't read my Timex watch unless I completely stop. With this new tool, i can easily check my pace wihout stopping. The product is sturdy and sits on the bottom of the pool without moving around at all. The first time i used the clock, i was wearing smoke colored goggles and could not read the display which consists of smoke colored digits. Switching to clear goggles made a huge difference. For interval workouts, I keep the clock on the edge of the pool above water. I find it easier to follow the digital readout than to look to the side of the pool at the analog pace close. It wouldn't be sufficient for a large group, but for a single lane it's perfect. The carrying case is excellent. Overall, i feel like i got exactly what i expected and i consider it a valuable tool.

We were slightly disappointed with this product
We were slightly disappointed with this product. It is an extremely small display and certainly cannot be seen by more than one lane. It is however waterproof and can be seen as one swim directly towards it.

a winner
My husband uses this product in the Endless Pool that he swims in daily. It seems to work for him and has done so without any problems since I got it. He says that it's easy to read even without glasses and light enough to put in and out without it being a struggle.

Great product!
I have an Endless Pool. This clock allows me to do interval work in the pool. I put the clock on the pool floor in front of the wall I am facing and where it is easily seen. The weighted base is heavy enough in that location. The pace clock has been a great addition to my pool, and I highly recommend it.
