Hemp Cat Collars (Marigold) Small

I like the material they use in these collars, and the bright colours. I had them before and they lasted years. I never had a problem with the clasp, but when I took my car for a walk on a leash. I used a dog collar with no release. I think if the cat pulled at all, it is designed to release, and is not designed for “walks” on leashes. I have had a cat that refused to wear a collar. She would push her small paw under the collar and pull it away from her body. It was annoying, but there was nothing I could do, and it was not the fault of the collar. Without the breakaway, she could get stuck if she got out. I had another cat get lost, and while a microchip is good, some people who see your cat are not prepared to take them to the vet or call animal control. I think that a collar is still important. I always write “indoor cat” in the information, so people know he is not supposed to be out on his own. In my opinion, this is a really nice soft durable collar.

I'm always looking for natural alternatives to every product so I was very happy to find these pet collars made of cotton and hemp instead of the more common nylon. The collar is adjustable from 7"-13" so it will fit well on a small kitty (with plenty of room to grow) as well as on a food hogging Garfield cat. The collar is not a bright red but instead more of a brick red color (kind of a faded red) which I think looks nice.I am discounting one star because the clasp feels pretty flimsy. I'm really hoping it holds up well long term but it is the flimsiest clasp I believe I have ever seen on a cat collar. Perhaps the seller would argue that this is a safety feature, a "break-away" clasp, but I have seen breakaway clasps that still felt durable and well made. I guess time will tell how it will weather. I'll update this review if the clasp ever becomes a real problem.Overall, I am still happy with my purchase. I hope that is helpful to you!

I bought this collar to replace an identical collar that my cat had been wearing now for well over 5 years (so long I really can't remember...prolly closer to 8). Poor kitty needed something for Christmas. I originally bought the collar for a cat that was allergic to all the other "pet store" collars. THIS is the only collar that I have had that did not cause hair loss on my cats' neck. They are good and sturdy without being thick and cumbersome.

My cats previous leather collar was irritating her skin and she had fur loss. I switched to this collar a few months ago and her fur is back to normal. She is strictly indoors so not sure about durable but it is easy break (I tested it several times off of her neck) and I love the rust color. My cat is about 9 pounds and the collars fit is perfect.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I was so impressed with this product I knew I had to share my thoughts! My cat is seven, and we just moved to a different state. He escaped on the second day, with no collar, no microchip, I was terrified but he came back later in the evening. I knew I had to get a collar. He has been collarless his whole life so when I put a collar on him the first time he hid for twelve hours terrified. He hated it, he was constantly itching and trying to get it off then he succeeded about two weeks into it. So I did a little research and decided to pay a little extra for something more comfortable and WOW I am so impressed! He didn't even notice when I slid it on and he hasn't scratched at it once. Such a huge difference and I'm so glad that he's comfortable now!

It's thin and a soft material. I had go buy a new one because my cat kept ripping off the nylon one I bought because she hated the way it felt but she hasn't pulled this one off yet and she seems much happier with it. I also appreciate that it has a breakaway buckle!

I bought this collar for my feline leukemia positive cat. She has many skin problems due to her condition and did not like her previous collars. I have had her for about 6 months and she has already destroyed two collars! She scratches her neck until the collars fray and fall off. She has been wearing this collar for about a month and a half and I have yet to see any scratching or fraying. It looks brand new! She loves the soft material. I would recommend this collar to any pet owner (skin problems or not). It is a great, attractive, and strudy cat collar that my cat loves. The price and wait is well worth it for your cat's comfort and your ease of mind. I would recommend this collar to any owner that asks. I can testify that this collar has saved me much stress and made my cat much happier.
