I’m obsessed with this stuff. One bottle goes a super long way and doesn’t dry out. I love this stuff. It’s such high quality for a reasonable price!

I have tried them all and this is the one I will always go back to. Hourglass has a tubing mascara that people seem to love, but I feel like it was too liquidy. This is a little thicker but does not clump. It does not flake or cause my under eyes to look dark later in the day. It's perfection and worth every penny.

I got a sample of this a long time ago and instantly fell in love with it. I knew it would be pricey, just by how well it worked and the fact it DIDN’T FLAKE all day long. If I fell asleep with my makeup on and woke up in the middle of the night realizing this, still no mascara flakes! I’ve read all the negative reviews and I just don’t agree with - or believe - what they say about this mascara. I’ve tried every over-the-counter mascara on the market. And while there USED TO BE a brand or two that worked really well for me, they’ve all changed their formulations in the past few years and flake before an 8-hour workday is over. My eyes have grown so sensitive to crappy mascara because of this. I was a loyal L’Oréal Voluminous mascara wearer for a good 15 years. Until one day I bought a new tube and it just didn’t work the same. It smelled differently, it flaked within hours, and it didn’t go on as easily or as quickly. That’s when I went on my quest to find the best “drug store” mascara. That led me to Maybelline’s Lash Sensational, which I felt was the diamond in the rough and the best out of all I’d tried. So that’s what I’d been wearing for the past year when I received the HOURGLASS sample and it, literally, ROCKED MY WORLD. There is a reason for the disparity in price between “drug store” makeup and “name brand” makeup. And it’s not just the name. The difference in price is the difference in quality, in production, in manufacturing, in ingredients. When you buy what some call “legacy” brands, you pay for an all-around better made product that takes more time and more care to produce. And it shows in the finished product. No longer will I be buying those “drug store” mascaras. My eyes are no longer sensitive to mascara. They don’t get red or water uncontrollably when I wear it. I don’t deal with flaking halfway through my day. For someone like me who is a brunette with thick curly hair and full, dark eyebrows, I have barely any eyelashes to speak of. So I need a mascara that can really turn up the volume, the length, EVERYTHING on my lashes to make them stand out and get noticed. HOURGLASS does that For me.

I have super short, straight eyelashes, and I usually stick to drugstore makeup—but after seeing a TikTok video, I decided to give this mascara a try. And honestly, it’s AMAZING! I love it so much. It fully coated my lashes, held the curl all day, and made them look fuller. However, it dried out pretty quickly and started to flake by week three. I still think it’s a great product, just not very long-lasting.

This mascara is not it. I generously give it a 3 because if I really work with it, I can make my lashes look good but it’s honestly too much trouble. First I have to spend like a minute scraping all the excess product off the wand because it clumps on there so thick. And if I don’t scrap the wand almost clean the mascara is way too clumpy. And even then I have to brush through lashes to remove clumps and lashes sticking together. Then it’s hard to add another coat because I have to repeat that process and then the second coat really makes it clumped so have to brush through even more. Once this is all done then yes my lashes look pretty good but it’s not worth all the hassle for this price. Can get something better at a drug store

This mascara makes lashes look long and lush, and it does not smudge. Worth the price!

After 8 months I FINALLY figured out why I have, since Feb had a major under eye rash that would not go away! I bought this mascara in Jan and starting in Feb I would get very painful, red somewhat itchy bumps directly under my eye. A prescription steroid cream only helped temporarily. Two weeks ago I used a different mascara (Thrive) and realized wow, is my rash gone. At first I didn’t put 2&2 together until I used the Hourglass mascara again and it came raging back! I’ve thrown the mascara away, went back to Thrive and zero issues!!!! I am so elated but still aggravated it took 8mos to figure this out! It had been hell!!!

This product was recommended to me by a family member and I was hesitant to try it at first since I, like many others, only used the Too Faced 'better than sex' mascara but I will only be using the Hourglass Caution Extreme. It doesn't clump or get on my eye lids. It definitely is a more of a lengthening mascara than a volumizing one, so keep that in mind when picking your mascara. It isn't advertised as waterproof but I have gone surfing and swimming in the ocean with this mascara on and it doesn't run or make me look like a wet raccoon. It's not a mascara that you can easily take off with a makeup remover wipe, you have to use a makeup remover oil with a cotton pad or with your hands. I'm in the ocean almost everyday so I like that it doesn't come off easy. It's all about what's best for you!

Really nice mascara & goes on smooth without any clumping. Makes my lashes longer as they are short and doesn't dry them out nor does it flake at any time.

Amazing product…. Flawless, doesn’t smudge at all in heat or humidity, and still looks amazing the next morning (if you forget like I do to remove your make up) 🥴😂 Highly recommend!!! Five stars
