These are a must have for rain barrels. Way better than the plastic bulkheads. They are easy to install and very durable. The nut screws on easily so I was able to hold the body from the outside and screw on the nut with a single wrench.

They look very well made the gasket is a little flimsy

Initially, I was hesitant to order this as it was said to be used and I didn't really need 6, but I couldn't resist the very low price. When I opened the box, I was ecstatic, these are brass fittings, they were gleaming pretty, the threading was sharp, just like new. There was a new gasket. I as thrilled. I've already installed one, worked like a charm.

Perfect solution for building your own rain barrel. Left handed thread allows installation from outside of container. Do not overtighten and displace rubber gasket when you install the fitting. You will need a hole saw to cut a uniform opening. Combine with 1/4 turn ball valve and you are good to go. Make sure you have your regular watering can available to position the ball valve high enough to allow easy filling.

These brass bulkhead fittings are very well made and worked perfectly as a drain fitting for a 55 gallon plastic barrel used as a water reservoir. Just make sure you have the right size hole saw for cutting the passage for the fitting. Very nice product.

The inside should be tapered pipe thread to correctly accept a hose spigot as designed and shown. Instead, they've used straight threads which makes it leak.

Met expectations

These fittings worked great and were an economical component for making a series of yard and irrigation elements, like plant watering systems. I recommend them if you require several bulkheads for your projects.
