If you want to read a review then here you go. I've been watching anime ever since I could remember, but decided that I should try to get into reading manga after hearing people say that some manga > some anime adaptations. I just recently got into manga tho, and this story is definitely worth investing in. It caught my attention after being so heavily praised even without an anime. After reading some free scans and loving it so much, I decided to ball out on collecting each volume of the Perfect Editions. It's a fun story filled with mystery. I really don't want to spoil it, so check out the first few chapters elsewhere to find out if it's for you. Along with the story being great, the physical book itself is forsurely of great build quality. Review: A Good Read - Story: - Multiple characters with realistic goals, motivations, and individual traits that make them feel real: Check. - Characters moving and interacting in fascinating and realistic ways, all the while discovering secrets that keep the plot moving: Check. - A mysterious, yet gigantic organization that threatens the world in itself: Check. - Meaningful dialogues with not a wasted moment: Subjective, but in my opinion, check. - A plot that clearly been planned to near perfection, with each character reacting realistically to their own character traits and motivations: Check. - Characters that have been refined and established as their own, not wavering from who they are in an unrealistic manner: Check. Delivery: Arrived as stated. The package is in excellent condition, so is the book. Plus, the book smells like a fresh new book! Bonus points.

A Classic from a Master Storyteller
Classic manga story that starts off by building a fascinating world. Well worth the price. If you know anything about the mangaka, you know they're considered one of the all-time greats, and for good reason. 20th Century Boys is a wild story that starts off with intrigue and only gets better from there.

Great Series
I've read the whole series, and it is one of the best manga series I've ever read. If you've seen 'Monster' by Urasawa or like psychological thrillers/mysteries, you'll like this series.

Urasawa never fails to amaze
I bought the first three volumes of this series after finishing Monster and at a friend of mines recommendation. I thought Monster couldn’t possibly be topped, well in my opinion this series here is Urasawa’s magnum opus. Upon reading this and the second volume I immediately purchased the rest asap and I have been loving it the whole way through. This series has a lot more pomp and circumstance than Monster. It can be difficult to adjust to the time jumps and connect with the characters initially because of them but before to long you will be all in on this one. It’s like a sci-fi goonies I mean what’s not to love!?

Better than I thought.
I wasn't a big Manga reader because they are always in black and white and I love color, but I was starting to grow bored of the current Marvel and DC superheroes. I did a search for the top 10 Manga series of all-time and 20th Century Boys came up. I bought this first volume to see if I would like it or not. Boy did I! It might not be in color, but the artwork is incredible and to think Urasawa does all the writing and artwork himself. Incredible! The best compliment I can give it is that after I finished Vol. 1, I went out and bought Vol. 2 and 3 right away. I will definitely be buying and reading the rest of this series.

Story is Awesome, but not the best condition
Loving the story so far, but the book/manga itself came with torn cover.

A Masterpiece In An Affordable Collection
20th Century Boys is truly a one of a kind story. I won't spoil anything for those who may be new to the series, but if you wonder if the story is for you and you like manga, it doesn't get much better than this. This is a 'Perfect' (See what I did there? Perfect edition. Nailed it.) place to start your collection. Each book contains two volumes of the previous release for a small fraction more than what one of the original books cost. It's a great deal. For people who have the old series, there isn't a ton of new things I can personally argue would make this purchase justifiable. The panels that were originally released in color are in color this time around (the original was entirely black and white) but that's pretty much it. There aren't that many either. Maybe 20 color pages, tops. There's a new cover too, but that's it. 20 or so color pages and a new cover. I don't mind having this because 20th CB is my favorite manga ever, but if you own the older editions already, there really isn't anything for you here that will enhance the story or anything. Enjoy reading one of the greatest stories ever told! I am not joking at all when I say that I named my daughter after a character in this book because the story had such a profound impact on me. Her name is Kanna and without this book, she wouldnt have the name that i know her by. This story truly is one of the greats.

Manga classic with a complex character driven story. Got to read this while on the train to visit the 2025 Expo in Osaka so was a real experience!

It was a bit difficult to grasp the storyline at fist, as the scenes go back and forth in time. However, by the end of Volume 1, I was hooked. The righteous grown-up, once a naughty kid, is up against a mysterious but surely sinister and insidious enemy to save the world. I am looking forward to finding out what story unfolds before me in Volume 2.
