Classic Jurassic Park 1 Paperback – November 16, 2010

I ordered this from Amazon about a month ago with the tons of gift cards I got. What I was actually looking for was the original comic book printed by Topps, but then I saw that IDW Comics acquired the license for Jurassic Park and was now reprinting old comics and writing out new ones. Being a die-hard Jurassic Park fan at heart, I found it to be cheaper in the long run to get the brand new edition of the comic, then the old one. It came in the mail quickly (Thank you Super Saver Shipping!) and I immediately started to read it. It's the exact same as the original edition, but with enhanced images, frames and colors. I wasn't amazed or anything, but it's a really good adaption of the original movie story. I would have liked the comic more if it strayed more towards the book's portrayal, though. All in all, it is a great read and definitely worth the money.

This book is great, although the cover image shown (which is from one of the four original comics in this collection) differs from product cover. Also, does Amazon bend all graphic novels on purpose before shipping them? If you are a collector looking for stellar mint or near mint copies, I'd avoid. I'm not a collector, and I wasn't too pleased to see a bend in part of the cover and a couple very small dents on the bottom edge of the cover.

Would give zero stars if I could. The item was completely wrong. Not a comic book, not even an adaptation story. It was a science book. And when I tried to get in touch and get a refund but they never responded at all. Huge let down.

I bought this book in May 11' and It came when the date said it would. It is a soft cover companion of all the Jurassic Park orignal comic series. Doesn't follow the movie completely, but is a must have for Jurassic Park die hards. I love it, and I think anyone would enjoy this graphic novel!

This comic has helped my teach Jurassic Park in the classroom and I am overly satisfied with it.I wish there was an actual graphic novel of the original novel, but this movie representation is as good as one can get.

this is for any fan of Jurassic Park and it follows the move but at the same time it will do its own thing.

Great book. Well worth the price.

A pure nostalgia trip for me, this. When I was 11 I bought the original Topps comics reprinted here, because Jurassic Park was, and still is my favourite movie. Yeah, they could have been made to look more like the movie, but they have their own charm. Kanes artwork is lovely. It's a bit crappy sci-fi in places (what's going on with those helicopters!?) but it's very much from a golden Marvel type age.The only reason I marked this down a star is due to the boring cover. When the comics originally came out they had really great eye-catching covers. Heck, just the logo on the red / black jungle sunset (like the movie poster) would have been better.Brilliant comic though. Much better than the non-canon continuation series that came after.
