Solid Product, Great Price
I had been eyeing ecoflow products for a while and when everything went on sale for Prime Day I decided to finally give it a shot. My plan is to install this combination in my ‘03 4Runner along with some panels on the roof once I have a roof rack installed. The idea is to essentially turn my 4Runner into an off grid dwelling so this will be powering a diesel heater and some electronics during long overlanding adventures. So far though I have just been using it at home to charge electronics and stuff so I can get a feel for how long it will run. I am very impressed with the build quality of this thing, it looks and feels solid and is extremely quiet when charging AC from the wall and powering DC via USB ports though I suppose that’s an easy load for this thing. The app is great and the ability to track power use over time has allowed me to experiment at home to get a feel for things which is a big plus. It’s about the size I had imagined it would be not super small but also not super large - it is heavy but it’s a battery so that’s basically expected. I can’t wait to get this installed along with my alternator charger but I will have to limit charging speed at first because you pretty much shouldn’t use 800W charging off nearly any stock alternator; you should get a high output alternator for that and that’s my next purchase!

HOW TO INSTALL, AND THE ADAPTOR YOU WILL NEED
Once up and going, it is worth 5 stars. Getting there was a pain! I have a Delta Pro 3.6kWh system and wanted to connect the alternator charger to it. However, the documentation was not clear. Then after much googling, I learned I needed to buy an adapter (ummm, it should come with it). You need the "smart generator adaptor compatible with Delta Pro" and can find several here on Amazon. I just bought the cheapest and it worked. The cable from the battery plugs into the alternator charger. Install it with the icon facing up and match the icon on the cable to the icon on the alternator charger. You can also tell which one because the cable from the battery does NOT have the small communications pins in the center. Then take the cable that came with the alternator charger and plug one side into the alternator charger (to the connector that HAS the small communication pins in the center and be careful to do it properly). The other end of this cable plugs into the adaptor mentioned above, and then that adaptor plugs into the battery port (I used battery port 1) on the back of the Delta Pro. It can only plug in one way, and the cover on the Delta Pro is just rubber and hinges down out of the way.

It works well for my dad and my babies!
My parents are on a road trip with their grandchildren. One of my grand child really loves milk so we use an ecoflow power bank to power our milk warmer. I decided to get this alternator charger to allow my parents to keep the powerbank charged on the road! Installation was fairly easy! My dad drives a Camry and it wasn’t too hard to route it through all the compartments and run the cables to the trunk. It definitely was long enough for the Camry! Now they are on the road and it seems like the ecoflow power bank is constantly topped up with zero issues! Bonus! My kids loved playing with the box!

Pretty great with minor flaws
I'm using this to expand the storage capacity of my Ecoflow Delta 3 plus. I have this running in 24v mode connected to a pair of 100AH LiFePo4 batteries. I plan to expand that battery string to 4 and eventually 6 to get longer runtime at a lower cost than Ecoflow's add-on batteries. This works well for what I wanted accomplish. The device itself is pretty large for what it does. It stays cool. I fully dislike having to use a separate tool to disconnect the cables. There are many existing locking cable harness connector designs that require no tools. One time, the mobile app showed some communication issues with this device and suggested that I reset it at the power button. A reset took care of the issue, but it could happen in a less convenient time.

Misleading Product & Terrible Support
This product does not work with the Ecoflow Delta Pro as advertised. When I tried to connect them, I discovered there is no port on the Delta Pro. You actually need a separate $70 adapter — something never mentioned until after purchase. I attempted to buy the adapter directly from Ecoflow, but my orders kept getting mysteriously canceled. Customer support offered no real help beyond “try a different credit card.” Even when my wife tried ordering with a different account, the order was canceled again. I had my wife order the adapter on a different device and credit card and the same thing. Now I just I received an automated emails saying the “trouble report” was closed. The result: I’m stuck with a Delta Pro I cannot charge and an expensive alternator charger that’s useless. Between misleading advertising and the worst customer support I’ve ever experienced, I strongly recommend choosing a different manufacturer if you value transparency and meaningful support.

Easy DIY installation.
Out of the box first impressions: Unit is a little larger than I anticipated/visualized but I can make it fit. Did a dry-fit installation this afternoon. From start to commissioning was less than 2 hours. Now I still have to dress in the cable on the inside of the vehicle, but getting through the firewall of my Dodge Grand Caravan using an existing grommet was very easy thanks to the very flexible and slightly slippery cable loom. One of the easiest cable pulls this old cable guy has ever done. Just use a small stiff wire like solid ground or even a coat hanger and plenty of tape to push through. Connections to the battery were equally simple, the in-line fuse block is small enough to tuck in anywhere and I found a good spot next to the battery to route directly into the driver's side footwell. From there it was simple to run along the rocker panels to the back where I have my Ecoflow Delta Pro battery installed. I mounted the unit inside a homemade storage box sized to fit in the stow-and-go well with the Delta Pro right next to the box. The cable that runs from the alternator charger to the battery is fairly short but long enough for my installation. That may change as the build evolves. Commissioning was easy and straightforward. Starting the vehicle brought the charger online. As soon as I opened up the Ecoflow App it detected a new device, figured out what it is and right away began charging the Delta Pro! Of course nothing was set up so it jumped to the default 800 Watts current. I had to quickly reduce the max charge current to 25 Amps because I don't want to overload my alternator (I plan on upgrading to a heavy duty alternator soon). 25 A is still pumping in 350 Watts @ 14 volts input so plenty of power. In fact I will probably leave the max current between 25 and 40 A even with an upgraded alternator just to keep from pushing the batteries too hard, because slower charging is still better for the life of the batteries anyway. This minivan build is one of those things that just happens. I'm using a lot of parts and ideas I used for car camping in my Cherokee, and adding on a few like this. I like that the installation was so simple after working with more complicated setups that required a lot of different components that take up a lot of wall space. This was literally two cables and two boxes, one of which takes a fraction of the space of more complicated setups.

Built strong! Contains everything needed to start charging right out of the box.
Love this charger! Opens up so many alternative ways to keep batteries charged up while away from standard power supplies. Solar, alternator, battery banks, electric generators, these are all options. I’m discovering new ways to use it all the time.

Good alternative to exanding more than Ecoflow extra battery offerings
I use this to expand my Delta 2 Max battery capacity, I don't own a car to install this in. I didn't want to pay $800 for another 2000 watts if I can buy a 12v 300ah (3600 watt) LiFePo4 battery for less than $800. Not as convenient as the extra battery, but it works if you're willing to do the research. I know theirs a way to hook a battery directly to the expansion port, but I'm no careful genius to do that work. Even so, I don't know if it can charge the battery as well as discharge it. Granted the cost of this and a big LiFePo4 battery makes it equal if not more to the extra battery, but its more expandable. If I want more capacity than now, I can just buy another battery and hook it up to the system. I just don't like how it's mainly app reliant. No buttons to control the charger directly, only to turn it off. 3 stars mostly because App reliant, otherwise I like this as a battery expander.
