Took a couple of goes but did the job! Hard to know how far down it's gone. Would be amazing if it had some kind of measure on the side to indicate how much cable has been sent out. I entered the pipe from under the sink so I could send it in at a good angle. Pipes under the sink are easy to do/undoe by hand. Worked great with a drill on 1st gear on the drill, as 2nd gear is a bit too wild and was worried about breaking the auger. I really wouldn't want to be winding this in/out by hand....I would say a drill is essential unless you have very strong arms, strong core, and high levels of endurance and patience. With a drill you can keep the augur in a really strong position like holding a gun can handle recoil when firing, with this you can put all your strength forwards to push through any blockages, bends etc. Got this one used for £20 less and works great. Keeping in case of future blockages :-)

Does the job with no fuss - just takes a bit of practice to get it to perform well. Good, robust quality bit of kit - should last well.

I had sitting water in my sink that was not draining. I took out the U bend and inserted the drain snake into my pipes. Upon the first attempt the blockage has not cleared, but on the second attempt it cleared the blockage and the water drains perfectly now! I have used other drain snakes in the past, but this has been the best. Don't give up after your 1st attempt if the blockage has not cleared. Also save your hand and use with a drill.

This worked really well and unblocked the drain within a few minutes. It was simple to clip-off the manual handle and use my electric drill to spin the cable. It felt sturdy and got the job done (I have previously bought a less sturdy similar product that was completely useless and it’s cable just twisted itself into knots and failed to clear anything.This product is excellent and did the job easily and cleanly.

Had a badly blocked 40mm kitchen waste. Tried plunging, Repeat doses of 1kg of Sodium hydroxide in 3l of water, pressure washer with drain attachment. Called out a plumber who tried vacuuming out the blockage. All to no avail. Cut out 3m section of pipe behind the kitchen units, but still blocked, as the pipe run was way too long with multiple bends. Couldn’t replace more pipe without structural work, as this was in a loft conversion and the pipe went into the roof space. The pipe then exited out of the building and dropped into a 40mm down pipe that was 4 stories high.Ran this for near enough its full length, back and forth repeatedly, stopping in places to break up any obstacles in the pipe (the blockage was hard calcified lumps of washing powder). Fantastic bit of kit, well worth the money.

Lo he usado en 4 trabajos y funcionó bien para mí. Está bien construido y parece que me durará para siempre. Realmente me gusta poder colocarle mi taladro. Hacerlo a mano resulta agotador. La mejor parte es que mantienes tus manos limpias. Lo recomiendo.
