Revell of Germany Battleship Bismarck Plastic Model Kit

Good kit, very detailed. I’m no pro and haven’t been modeling since I was a kid in the early 90’s. This took me months (weekends only) to get to the point pictured. The hull red paint peeled after masking, not the kits fault. I am going to stick this in an epoxy diorama anyway. I tried to airbrush the camo on the towers but I’m not that cool, had to brush them. The kit comes with the red and white deck insignia with a blank white circle. I added some plane decals to the middle of them.

Although Revell of Germany has stopped making this kit, I feel compelled to add my two cents worth. First, let me say that this kit is a rare 1-700th, having a full hull, but very well done molding of the pride of the Kriegsmarine. The detail on this kit is very good, and well done with no flash on the sprues. I highly recommend this kit, even though it is out of production. Get yours while you can!

I expected the Bismark to be, you know, bigger. It's roughly the same size as a model F-14 my son built. I was thinking it might be more like 24" long. To be fair, I didn't order it, and the dimensions were probably listed. It just seems odd to sell such a small model of such a big ship.

Many many intricate parts and pieces. This will be fun. Instructions look complex but detailed well. 1:70 Revell Bismarck.

This is my first model i'm building in a long time, first thing I did when it arrived was to check for missing parts or damage. Looks amazing, just waiting for some paint I ordered as well to come in.

Good quality. Many small pieces. Sturdy box. Fun project with great results if you follow directions. Very detailed and authentic.

This model has very tiny parts and I found it very helpful to have Magnification glasses. Easy to loose these parts if you drop them.
