These do what they are intended for, the quality is decent enough. But using it for a while, to boil tea in a borosilicate container I used previously on a gas stove turned out to be very slow and disappointing. There simply isn't a lot of metal here to heat via induction, and then heat transfer to your cooking piece. No real fault of the product, it works, stays clean. But ultimately, I just bought a proper induction friendly pot.

Bad product. I used once and after usage the 3 plates separated. Di not but. I am returning for full refund.

I got a new induction range, and needed an adapter to use a favorite 4-quart steamer pot. Used it several times to steam baby bok choi. Was perfect. I used it on 7 out of 10 heat setting. Was fast, not noticeably slower than cooking without the adapter. I think this adapter is not recommended for high heat, but 7 seems fine. Also note your pan bottom size should match the size of the adapter and burner ring (or a little smaller) for best results. For slow simper, pot size can be a lot smaller than the adapter.

This heat diffuser plate fits perfectly on our largest stove eye and now we are using our cast iron skillets on this plate. Works perfectly.

The plate is a sandwich, 2 stainless plates with a center plate of aluminum. Heat distribution does not reach the outer 2+ inches. Suspect the aluminum plate is a couple inches shorter. Heat distribution is good for smaller pans, but does not reach the outer edges of an 9 in pan.

I’ve been a kitchen creature since childhood. This is the best and probably last flame tamer(FT) I’ll need to purchase. We use a gas fired range and with this FT, control of heating our pots is now very simple. Bring the pot up to the desired temp. without the FT, then slide it under the pot, and check to ensure you’re at the right setting 5 min. later. Our stock pots are stainless, our enameled cast iron casserole and our light duty skillets are all improved by using the FT. Our past dollar store FT’s would last maybe a year, this item will out last us. I wish I had found it sooner.

perfectly sized for a heirloom double boiler that is not induction compatible. the detachable pickup/handle is a little odd but it's probably worth the extra effort to not have yet another handle atop the stove.
