This knife set is very well-built. The knife’s are one piece steal blade with a riveted wooden handle. It is on the heavier side so it will go through vegetables or slice of roast. No problem at all. The handle is nice and large so it fits my hand very well and when it’s wet it does not get slippery and slide around. You do have to be careful they is very sharp and you do not need to use a stone just a steel put the edge right back into alignment. They are a very well built set. Easy to use, beautiful knife for the price. I would encourage you to buy this one.

A great knife set. Super sharp hardened steel blades, excuisite wood handle, solid feel and good balance. My favorite is the Sankotu - typically my knife of choice. Although not the same, I grew up around cleavers - both at home and at the butcher shop I worked at in high school. For the price and the available discount as of this writing, it's a very good deal. It's the kind of knives where if you take care of them, they'll do what they're meant to do for you. Great packaging and would make a great gift too. A++++

This is an impressive knife set. They are quite attractive, and are very sharp out of the box. (They can slice paper, just like on TV!) They have a full tang, so I think they’ll be durable. The balance is a little off -- heavier on the handle side -- but that doesn’t matter much to me. Picky chef-types might not like it. They come in a nice box for gifting. Overall I’m happy with them

These knives are absolutely gorgeous and built very well. They are super well balanced and feel great in your hand. They are extremely sharp so one needs to be very careful in handling them. Very high-quality Damascus steel knives. It's a very good value for the 3 knives. They come nicely boxed and the set is very giftable.
