I used it to make holographic rainbow chocolate. I cut it into squares and put it in a mold and poured melted chocolate over it. Peeled off the film. I did not encounter and adverse reactions from using it with food.

Q: Can you glue tit to plastic?

You can glue it but if the glue is on the grating, you could not see through it. You would need to glue just the edges. To give a totally accurate answer, I would need to know what plastic you are gluing it on and how. There are many types of glue.

Q: If I pour silicone on it with the holographic shine transfer to the silicone mold once it hardens

I used Chocolate and it worked great! I'm not sure about silicone. The holographic paper acts like a microscopic mold so it would depend if the silicone molecules are small enough to fill in the grooves of the holographic paper. Also my chocolate is less than 95 degrees F. Not sure how hot the sheet can get before it begins to deform/melt.

Q: Can this film be applied to glass? Does it have a sticky side?

No. This film did not have any adhesive on either side.
