I love how the camera feels with this leather case

This is a great little case/cover for my Sony camera, I was very easily able to attach my camera and continue taking pictures. The leather is absolutely beautiful and perfectly compliments my camera giving it a nice vintage look. The little metal accents make the case look that much more special and the attention to detail is incredible. I've come to expect very high quality items from SmallRig and this leather case is no exception, a perfect balance between beauty and functionality. The feel in your hand it produces gives me confidence to get the shots I want and feel slightly less worried from accidental scratches and falls. The leather feels very nice too, like full grain, similar to some bets I have from high-end stores. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the retro look and feel, but after having this case and using it for some time now there's a reason it's a classic look. All in all this has been a great addition to my photo gear and I love taking my camera out more now that I have some protection on it.

I have been a smallRig fan for long time. Got tons of smallrig products in my production. But I am a bit disappointed with this A7CII camera case. The case is easy to install, built quality is good. but the fit is loose. Most the edge of the case fit loosely, or have gaps. Overall just feel it was poorly designed. Definitely not worth the price. I got another case from another brand, for around $60. Much better quality, but with built in ARCA plate. All the edges fits perfectly, no gaps. I am a bit picky about the cases, I wouldn't recommend this, unless you are tight on budgets.

I'm starting to go all in on the classic retro look. This SmallRig premium leather case really adds to that look. It's also quite functional, being everything is still easily accessible. The battery door is magnetic, no issues with screen rotation, and all the side ports are still easily accessible. The stitching, and leather work is some of the best I've seen. There's a toolless attachment screw, with a tripod thread in the center. The wrist strap is made to the same high quality standard, and fits over my larger wrists easily. I would have liked to have seen a quick attach for the wrist strap (similar to Peak Design). It would have made switching between this wrist strap, and a neck strap much easier. I'm going to continue using my SmallRig baseplate for home studio use. For out and about photography, I'll be using this retro leather case.

I love my A7CR, and this case is the perfect compliment to it. Its fits like a glove and gives the camera that vintage, classy look that I love. Well done Smallrig!

I really like Smallrig products, and I was super excited when I saw this, but I was extremely disappointed when I put it on my camera. It does not fit well and does not hold close to the camera body. When holding the camera with this on it, I could fill space between the camera and the case and it felt like I was holding a squishy bag that was around my camera. The top part of the case physically pulls away from the camera body. It is just a bad design. I hope they can redesign this and make it work but right now I cannot recommend this product to anyone.
