Q: Description says taper ground blade but illustration does not show it. Which is correct?

It is exactly as the picture indicates, a straight line of the blade

Q: Is this a nice thin slightly flexable blade.I bought one of them new ones with the silver dot on the handle, was too thick for cutting up veg.

The blade is sharp and thin but too short for being a good veg knife. Very close to being excellent apart from the length of blade.

Q: What is the handle made of ????

It's a hard grey plastic core (visible in the picture at the blade end and the butt of the handle) with a thin, black, softer sleeve. This makes it more comfortable to hold, it's still firm but if you press a fingernail into it, it deforms then returns to it's former shape on release of pressure. The black part may be silicone, we have had ours a couple of years and it withstands the dishwasher.

Q: Please confirm the correct dimensions - they cant be 29.4 x 1 x 9.4 this means the knife 603001is a foot long???

The blade is 7 cm , the length of the whole knife is 18 cm , a perfect size for a potato knife.
