Holy FAST TRANSFER SPEED
I should start by saying prior to this SSD I had only been using SD cards. So I canāt speak exactly to the reliability or speed of other SSDās on the market. Even still. Previously I had even purchased the SanDisk āPRO-READER āSD Express Dual Cardāāā in hopes that it would improve transfer speeds and while maybe it did, thereās still absolutely no comparison between this SSD speed and the SD cards even with the additional $120 reader. The speed alone is reason enough to buy this. Now I am slightly skeptical as I am a Mac OS user and Iāve read plenty of reviews lamenting issues with disk corruption. So if something like that is to happen for me I will be sure to come back here and update this review. The other bonus is the size. I bought one of the Samsung T7 SSDās for my friend so when I ordered this I expected the size to be roughly the same. Boy was I wrong. It is much much smaller. And to me that is also a huge plus. Itās roughly the size of a business card but of course a little thicker. Much better size imo than the comparable 3/4 of a phone size most other SSDās clock in at.An additional note:Although I did download the SanDisk security software that comes already on the SSD in .dmg format Iāve opted to not use a password. Iām not concerned about someone else having access to it and additionally even if anyone else did gain access to it I donāt store anything confidential on it so it wouldnāt really matter to me. Iāve also chosen to do this because from what Iāve read of other reviews it seems that somewhere in between the computer/hard drive and password protection and SSD programming might be where the potential data corruption issues arise after possessing it for a bit of time. As such in efforts to avoid this possible corruption Iāve decided it better off to not have it PW protected.

I wish I had gotten one sooner!
Durable, fast, and dependableāgreat for both daily use and emergency backupsIf you're someone who tends to knock things around, drop them, or lose stuff under the couch, this drive holds up surprisingly well. Iāve kept mine plugged in constantly for things like File History and versioned backups, and it hasnāt overheated or caused any issues, even after long stretches of use.Itās great if you regularly move, copy, or delete large files. Transfers between computers are fast, and itās spacious enough to toss everything on without worrying about space or speed. It's especially handy for storing photos and videosāthere's plenty of room, and moving them around is quick and easy. This also makes a great "emergency" drive. You can load it with critical filesāphotos, documents, medical history, bank records, anything you absolutely canāt afford to loseāand just stash it somewhere safe. If you ever need to leave in a hurry or your main system fails, you can just grab it and go. Itās basically a digital safe for your most important stuff. This might be overkill for use as a simple backup drive, but if you find it for a great price, then go ahead!I picked mine up āused ā like newā for $89, and it came in standard packaging with no issues. Iād happily grab another if I saw it again at that price.
