I just opened the package and have no working experience with the product as of yet. However, thus far I like the tripod because it is American Made, quite sturdy, lightweight, easy to setup, and provides lots of options for the user. It comes with a carrying case and looks and feels very professional. It was quite easy to pair my cell phone up with the remote shutter and take a few pictures. One pleasant surprise was an inclinometer to help you determine if the tri-pod is perfectly level. Lastly, if one registers with KobraTech they will receive a free 2 year extended warranty.I do not have any dislikes but am curious about the purpose of the pop up button on the quick release plates. This is why I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars for Ease of Use. It appears to be spring loaded and without any pressure it will be up. If someone screws the cell phone mount onto the quick release plate and tightens it all the way down, then it would appear somewhat difficult to remove the cell phone mount. This is because the cell phone mount base is hollowed out with grooves. Perhaps that is the intent, but I would not think that is what someone would want. I am considering either taping or gluing the quick release plate's pop up button down. Hopefully another reviewer or someone from KobraTech can provide clarity on this design point because I'd really like to know why it is there. Other than that the product appears solid and I would recommend it without reservations.

This is probably the third tripod I’ve ever bought in my life the first one being very very tiny and not really expecting it to show up that small and cheaply made so I splurged a little bit and got this one, and it is one of the best decisions investments I have ever made when it comes to adding to my camera and film, making equipment arsenal. It is held up. I’ve had it for about a year now. And it does everything I needed to do and sound. I love the mono pod feature. Also that part that comes out to use the mono pod. If you leave it in the tripod it just adds to the heights if you need to add more height for whatever so I like that and truth be told I am an undergraduate student going for my bachelors in Cinematography and I bought this one before I was sent my gear package from my school, being my cinema camera, my tripod, my lighting equipment, etc. the tripod they sent me was a almost $500 Manfredo tripod and I still like this Amazon special $30 Tripod Way more so there you go I still use this one way more than any of them. If you’re thinking about buying it, you won’t regret it unless you’re just one of those people that can’t be pleased. But if you are that person, I still think that you’ll be blown away because this thing is awesome.

After receiving my original order without the bluetooth shutter, I was sent a replacement so I am updated my original 2 star review.The tripod: The flexibility is great, you can use it pretty much anywhere, and it's stable and grips great. The rubber feet keep it from sliding around. The only downside is my Nexus 6P did not fit in the holder (it might have it I forced it a little more but I didn't want to break it). I tested it with an iPhone 5 I had and it held it securely.The shutter remote: At first I was very discouraged that I had to download another camera app to use the remote. The app is very annoying playing a video with audio that cannot be skipped when you open it. It also has a ton of permissions that seem unnecessary for a camera app. After messing with it for awhile I realized that even though I have an Android phone (Nexus 6P) I can use the IOS button with the native Android camera app. I felt much better once I uninstalled the Camera 360 app.Overall, this product works and is compact and lightweight enough to carry with you.

I give this product 5 stars. The tripod is really only 4 stars and the remote barely works, but the customer service team is fantastic, hence the 5 stars. First off, this is the most customizable tripod for an iphone or any phone I could find at this low price. The tripod comes ready to use with a camera phone, but it is also capable of being used as a tripod for any camera whatsoever. I think that's handy.Second, the tripod can be set to any angle and the legs move in such a way that you can really put it anywhere and use anywhere. Like you could use it in a fairly standard location, say on the side of a wall to take a steady picture. OR, you can adjust the legs such that it would stay secure on the side of a rocky face, say you want to take a picture at some tide pools where the terrain isn't all flat. Its incredibly flexible in this regard.Third, it feels a little cheap, but at this price, who cares? To me that is a benefit because I know that I can take it anywhere and if it does get damaged, I can replace it cheaply.Fourth, the free remote barely works with an iPhone, IOS 10. It has no problem connecting via bluetooth the first time you use it, but to reconnect it later it can be a pain. It sometimes won't show up in the bluetooth list and/or it will show up as a "keyboard" rather than a remote. So to use the remote it might take some time to set it up when you're off on your adventure. This is a minor setback as the remote was free.Finally, customer service can't be beat. I emailed KobraTech about the remote issues and without even questioning me, they sent me a replacement about 40 minutes after my initial email. After the second remote had the same connectivity problems I realized it was a compatibility issue and was not a hardware problem with the remote. Still, I was impressed by how quickly customer service got back to me and made sure I was satisfied with my purchase. So the four star tripod gets a fifth!I do recommend this to anyone looking for a tripod for their phone who's traveling or just wants an easy way to take steady pictures.
