Essendo chitarrista da anni, volevo ampliare le mie competenze e immergermi nel mondo del basso. Cercavo uno strumento che fosse di qualità, ma accessibile, e che si integrasse perfettamente nel mio home studio. Dopo aver valutato diverse opzioni, il basso Squier by Fender Debut Collection Precision Bass si è rivelato la scelta perfetta. Aspetti Positivi: * Finitura e materiali: La finitura opaca è uno dei dettagli che più mi ha colpito: elegante, moderna e resistente, dona al basso un look professionale che supera le aspettative per questa fascia di prezzo. * Suonabilità e comfort: Il manico è scorrevole e comodo, con un profilo che si adatta sia a principianti sia ai musicisti più evoluti. * Stabilità sonora: Le meccaniche, pur essendo basiche, garantiscono un'accordatura stabile e un’intonazione precisa, anche durante sessioni prolungate. * Consegna impeccabile: Amazon ha fatto un lavoro eccellente: imballaggio curato nei dettagli, arrivato in condizioni perfette, pronto per essere suonato. Aspetti da Migliorare: * Bilanciamento: C’è un leggero sbilanciamento verso il manico, che potrebbe richiedere un po' di adattamento per chi suona in piedi. È comunque un dettaglio trascurabile, considerando il prezzo. * Corde di serie: Le corde preinstallate sono standard, ma consiglio di sostituirle con un set di qualità superiore per chi ha esigenze sonore più performanti. A chi lo consiglio: Questo basso è perfetto per principianti assoluti e per chi cerca uno strumento affidabile senza investire cifre elevate. È un'ottima scelta anche per un secondo basso da tenere in studio o come “muletto” durante i live. Conclusione: Il basso Squier by Fender Debut Collection Precision Bass riesce a coniugare qualità e accessibilità in modo sorprendente. È uno strumento che si distingue nella sua fascia di prezzo e offre tutto ciò che serve per iniziare con il piede giusto. Se stai cercando un basso che sia bello da vedere, piacevole da suonare e capace di offrire un suono convincente, non cercare oltre! Da 5 stelle.

Mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. LO BUENO: Comencemos mencionando que llegó mucho antes de lo indicado, y muy bien empaquetado. Nada de golpes, ni siquiera en la caja. El acabado mate, además de ser muy bonito, al tacto es muy agradable. El color es bastante bonito. Es ligeramente más delgado en el cuerpo, por lo que pesa menos de lo esperado. El brazo es bastante cómodo en realidad y al no tener un acabado en pintura o barniz, la mano se desliza bien. Los potenciometros se sienten de muy buena calidad y aunque solo es Volumen + Tono, tiene la suficiente jugabilidad para poder obtener diferentes sonidos. Las pastillas, cumplen. No meten ruido y los componentes se ven de bastante buena calidad para ser la gama de entrada de Squier. LO MALO El acabado mate parece que se irá perdiendo fácilmente en las zonas que tienen más contacto con la piel. Y el color, aunque es bonito, lo noto un poco más chillante de lo que esperaba. El acabado de los trastes puede mejorar mucho, sin caer en lo fatal, pero la sensación al recorrer el brazo si llega a ser un poco molesta. Tiene el cuerpo más delgado de lo esperado, y aunque lo mencioné como un punto bueno, también da la sensación de fragilidad. Las cuerdas no son las mejores, si recomendaría cambiarlas. EXTRAS: La tienda lo envió con un Manual de cuidados básicos, eso se agradece mucho. Y lo MAS IMPORTANTE, envió una lista de puntos que fueron revisados antes de mandarlo. El bajo llegó octavado y con los ajustes necesarios para usarlo en cuanto sale de su caja. Eso es un ENORME punto a favor. En verdad me encantó ese detalle. No tuve que octavar ni ajustar la altura de las cuerdas. CONCLUSIÓN ES UNA EXCELENTE opción como primer bajo, bajo proyecto para modificar o bajo de reserva o ensayo. En mi caso, decidí comprarlo por que necesito un bajo extra para emergencias y ensayos. Y la verdad me sorprende lo que esté bajo ofrece por el precio. Hay bajos más baratos, pero mejor no arriesgar y confiar en la calidad de Squier. Y la tienda, 100% recomendable comprar con Eusica.

I’m going to start by saying I’ve been playing bass for just shy of 40 years. I own over a dozen other basses in varying price ranges, and have built a couple of my own. I got my Debut because in all these years I have never owned a straight up Precision Bass, they’ve always been P/J, J/J or some other pickup configuration. The price was right and other reviews were very favorable. This one will be as well. I was very impressed with the build quality of a bass of this price point. The satin finish is very smooth and the two tone sunburst just looks fantastic. The hardware is of good quality as well. The tuners, while not the greatest, hold the strings in tune and are classically designed. The bridge is adjustable for the string action and intonation. The ceramic pickups are well constructed and deliver a great tone. The controls are the traditional P Bass controls consisting of simple volume and tone. The round wound strings deliver a bright tone and don’t feel too harsh on the fingers. I played this through a Fender Rumble 25 and a 79 Fender Bassman, both amplifiers complimented the tone of this bass. The set up from the factory was impressive. The intonation was pretty much dead on accurate and I only adjusted the string height to my personal preference. The weight of this bass came in at 8lbs 7oz. The weight was balanced and didn’t have the typical neck dive as lighter basses sometimes display. The fretwork is well done and the neck has a very nice feel with the nut at 38mm or 1 1/2 inches. All in all it’s a great bass for a beginner. This is also a great platform for someone looking for a bass to mod. Squier really came through with a very affordable beginner bass. It is an excellent instrument for its price point. I would recommend their Sonic Series or their Affinity Series for a higher grade level of quality, but at this price, they’re may be others (and I have tried them in this price range) but the Squier Debut is the best of them in my opinion. It’s a great beginner bass with the backing of a brand name company and excellent customer service.

Its a great bass for 15k, though mine had paint chipped but I still kept it!

I recently got interested in learning to play the bass, having only played guitar before. This represents excellent value for a beginner. Nice frets, nice satin finish, setup out of the box was excellent with low action, only a tiny bit of intonation of the G string needed. The neck is pretty thin and lacking a skunk stripe but plays great for me, being used to guitar necks. Maybe the strings is not the highest quality, but buying new ones costs like 1/5 of the price of the instrument :) I really can’t find any particular issues with it and it looks, plays and sounds like I imagine a real bass should. Now let’s practice a bit more!
