This is probably the best known of the Lego sets. I gave it as Christmas present to myself and it took about 2 weeks to build. The instruction manual is much bigger than the Eiffel Tower and Concorde models. Even so it was still tricky to follow at times - all part of the fun. A couple of minor bricks were missing, nothing structural. Most of the panels are delicate and are often held in place by a single connection point, or just gravity. Moving this model is not easy. The ventral cannon is I feel, not possible to fit unless the model is jacked up

This build was epic. It’s absolutely huge. I would buy some kind of mounting kit for it though. It’s the only LEGO set that I have owned that came with a spiral bound instruction booklet due to the sheer amount of bricks involved. This is an investment. One of the biggest and best detailed LEGO sets to date and worthy of a master builders time.

Great build, takes a long time, a little on the flimsy side in a few places underneath, heavy and a bit hard to move when fully built, definitely worth building for the amount of bricks and time it takes so it is worth the money, some parts are a bit tricky to work out where they fit together with instructions but loved this build

I bought this lego because it's one of the most iconic starwars crafts , and the offer price was too good to pass up. It's an adult build ,so not for kids

This is without doubt my favourite Lego set of all time. There is a reason Lego have allowed it to stay active and avoided retired for so many years and I cannot fault it. You can still buy this set and look for a solid discount down to the £500-£600 range to get the best price. If this is on your list make sure you have space as it’s huge but the detail and appearance is stunning. The build is very time consuming but the result is overwhelming and perfect.

Excellent set kept me busy for ages

Only gave it 4 stars as I am currently building it and had to contact lego for 1 piece missing. I am half way through the build and it's looking good. You will need time and patience to build this behemoth. The instructions could do with tweeking a bit though. The price is OK if you are happy to pay in installments. The detail in the build is good.

Fun but frustrating build

Posiblemente el set de Lego Starwars UCS que debes tener. Es muy frágil, no es para jugar solo para exponer, pero la experiencia de construcción es muy buena y sobre todo es “el Alcon Milenario”. !!! Una gran mejora para otras opciones de UCS del Alcon y una presencia espectacular una vez montado. Mi primer UCS y el imprescindible. Te aconsejo comprar una base para exponerlo en vertical y no moverlo pues es muy frágil. Tiene interiores con cierto detalle pero no los usarás por la fragilidad en su manipulación. Muchos influencer ponen otros UCS en mejor lugar que este pero verás que en sus fondos de exposición siempre este Set aparece en posición especial.

Fan de construction lego depuis mon plus tendre âge avec mon grand frère. Apres avoir également transmis le virus à mon fil, a 52 ans, j'ai fini par m'acheter mon set de construction..... Rien a redire sur la présentation. carton extérieur super solide pas abimé malgré le manque de sur emballage pour le transport, juste un plastique bulle. A l'intérieur 4 cartons super stylés et une magnifique notice un peu encombrante et lourde mais super. pour le montage c'est super agréable comme je m'y attendais . il suffi de suivre la notice et les sachets de pièces numérotés. le montages m'a pris 31heures étalées sur deux semaines .QUE DU BONHEUR!! Je suis prête pour le prochain...

This thing is huge. Photos do not do it justice. You Tube videos don’t do it justice. I’m 65, in a wheelchair, no feeling in my right hand and no lift in either shoulder. I did my first Lego 10 weeks earlier (the UCS R2-D2). Challenge accepted. The instruction book is beautiful, and must be a not insignificant part of the price, but it is too large and unwieldy. I used the pdf instructions on my iPad. I notice subsequent large builds employ multiple smaller books. Once you have sorted the bags and worked out a strategy for separating the bricks in each step, away you go. You start off with a very solid internal frame made mostly from Lego beams; feet; internal rooms, 2 very detailed; side frames; front mandibles; lower cladding; air lock tunnels; lower gun turret; upper cladding; cockpit; upper gun turret. Your finished. I gave myself a month to do it and took 27 days. With my disability I needed assistance to place a few panels, but not many. If I was designing it I would do some things differently. The mandibles are not supported adequately. Most of the upper cladding is held by one pin or gravity alone. The start of the build is precise and solid. The finish of the build is detailed but fragile with a somewhat sloppy feel. Initially I was disillusioned with the finish but it has grown on me. It is undeniably impressive. It demands attention. It was definitely worth the investment in time and money. Now I’ve just got to find somewhere to put it.
