Dries fast, good coverage
This gesso works well as a base coat for painting the little cardboard cottages I make. It dried fast and provides good coverage. It is thick enough that I can stipple it for a textured surface.

Product works well and is easy to apply. I painted over a large canvas effortlessly with plenty left over. Giving 4 stars because the smell is awful. I smelled it for days. Paint in the garage or outside to let it air out and you’ll be fine.

Nice and Thick
Went on easy. Nice and thick. Used it on some wooden boards. Would recommend two coats.

Bad Lid
The Gesso itself is great! Smooth, thick, and creates a great painting base! The lid to the tub, on the other hand, is incredibly difficult to open after your first use. It is such a flexible soft plastic that it just gives instead of actually turning, making it almost impossible to open.

PRODUCT GOOD BUT STORAGE CONTAINER NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
Product works well, as expected by any artist. However, they could do something to improve the lid, which is very difficult to pry off starting with the initial attempt to open and subsequent uses. But the product itself is good.

Good coverage, easy to use
Perfect! Used this to gesso a masonite board to do a painting that I already have a frame for. It was a custom size so cutting the masonite to fit was the easiest way to go about it. It covered the material well and gave me a nice smooth working surface. It also dried quickly, and being water based it was very easy to work with.

I bought this a few months ago but just used it for the first time this past week. It spreads well and is very easy to use. It dries very fast. Good product.

Decent Coverage but Falls Short in Texture and Application
I was hoping for a smoother surface that would allow my acrylic paint to glide effortlessly. Unfortunately, the dried finish had a grainy texture that hindered the painting process. On a positive note, the product offers fairly good coverage, effectively whitening the surface without requiring multiple coats. However, due to the texture, I’ll likely return to using Liquitex Gesso for a more refined finish.
