The miso looks, smells and tastes good. I am not a miso fan, and bought it for health purposes. As far as miso goes, I've had others that taste not as good and seem less robust. This looks like proper miso.

We had been buying the run of the mill store bought Miso for a number of years. I started looking for a better quality product and took a punt on this, and I’m so pleased we did. Compared to a mass manufacture miso the flavour depth is amazing, you can taste the difference in the first moment. Side by side the flavours are totally different. I’m not sure I want to use this in day to day cooking where it’s a side flavour as that seems wasteful, this is packed full of amazing layers that deserve to be savoured

Really lovely product if you’re into your health. Can’t fault this at all to be honest. Good taste, takes a little while to dissolve but I’d expect that from something so full of natural goodness and not concentrated crap

The miso tastes good and is of sound quality. The package comes well wrapped --- properly cared for. Definitely a 5* product.

Just fantastic taste! I used it for making fish soup, stirring it in only in the last 1 to 2 minutes of cooking. I can't wait for this item to come back into stock. Please Please Please hurry up and re-stock!

After reading an article about how fermented foods like kimchi and miso are good for your digestive tract, I bought a jar of this naturally fermented, unpasteurised miso paste. It's really delicious and I have a mug of miso soup with my lunch most days now. A good heaped teaspoon or level tablespoon is enough to make a flavoursome clear soup with boiling water added. My only slight gripe is that I wish it wasn't quite as expensive – although the jar is quite large – but you do get what you pay for and if you want quality, you have to pay for it.
