Easy to install and easy to hitch up each time. Made the towing experience so much nicer and less stressful on my truck and myself. Update 3/2017: I used this hitch 4 or 5 times last camping season and am still extremely happy with it and how much better it makes the towing experience!! I figured out how many turns to tighten it at the house so that it should be close to perfect, but then we usually drive a couple of miles to the convenience store on the way to the highway and by then I know whether I need to tweak it based on how the truck and trailer are handling on that short trip. So easy to adjust, I usually just put the trailer back to level with the tongue jack and then either tighten or loosen the bolts. If you have any issues with the triangle plate not being aligned right, go to YouTube, there is a video or two with Andersen's recommendation to fix it.

This is my first WDH. We tow a 3900 lb TT behind a 05 Toyota 4Runner. The Anderson WDH has its ups and downs. I like the fact that it is quiet and I can back up with it and not have to unhook any anti-sway stuff. I do end up have to crank down the tensioning nuts almost past the point to where the provided deep socket won't reach them. Getting the anti-sway triangle plate lined up can initially can be a pain if you can't get the tow vehicle and trailer straight before you unhook. Once this setup is on though it works great. I drove through a western KS thunderstorm on the way home with 60 mph cross winds. Tractor trailers were slowing down with their hazards on. Our TT didn't whip or sway, we did get blown over to the shoulder a few times but I never felt like was losing control due to sway. The urethane bushings help imensly to prevent bouncing over bumps and bridges. Overall it's a pretty ingenious setup and isn't tough to hookup once you figure out the tricks.

This hitch did exactly what it said it would. We pulled our 4K lbs trailer with a JK Jeep Unlimited and I was really impressed with with how well it handled it since we were basically maxed out on weight. It felt fine and sway was almost nothing. We pulled the same trailer with our Tahoe and a standard hitch and it wasn’t very good and the Tahoe is rated much higher for towing. Also no noise and you could back it up without disconnecting. Seemed pricey at first but works great.

You can't find a better WDH...it's easy to install, easy to use and it's changed the towing of our trailer. It's honestly night and day different with the addition of this hitch. I had a minor issue, I ordered the larger rise/drop receiver and ended up only needing the shorter one. The folks at Andersen were very helpful, they offered to send the shorted receiver and I shipped back the larger one. They have been really great to work with, always answering my calls and very helpful. This isn't something you find very often!

I was a bit hesitant to buy this hitch at first -- as weight distribution hitches go, it's far from the cheapest... But boy, oh boy, am I ever glad I did it. This hitch converted a bucking bronco of a camper into a well-behaved trailer. Trailer sway is now well-controlled, and the pitching we used to experience when we drove over a bump is now barely noticeable. If your trailer sways or bucks, bite the bullet and get an Andersen!
