Great resource, free electronic version with print version order
Great resource, as it has been for decades. One tip: If you buy the print version, you can also get the electronic version for free. The instructions for this are early in the first volume, after the table of contents, preface and foreword, but before the table of common schematic symbols. These pages are not numbered.

A complete and up-to-date Handbook, with various levels of depth from the simplest to the most complicated. A magnificent well of well-organized information. A handbook not to be missed even for non-radio amateurs. Thanks ARRL!

Not the least bit entry level -- unfortunately.
It's comprehensive, in-depth, but this is in no way an entry level book unless you are bringing a substantial background of theory and science with you. On the one hand it begins very basic. Then within a few pages, out of a thousand, things get extremely technical. This is more of a reference if you learned this material some years ago in a college level course, but forgot. If you are starting at step one, maybe having just learned enough to pass the Technician test, this will like trying to sip from a fire hydrant. In that case, you'll have a nice book that just occupies space on the bookshelf.
