Excellent camera
I love this phone. It has an excellent camera for the price. As a plus, it comes with a pouch and a ring holder.

Brilliant, but no better than my old Xiaomi
I bought a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro (for £399) in September 2019. It's been faultless. The ultra-fast processor is exactly the same (ie the same part) as the contemporary top of the range Samsung, its main camera takes superb photos and the only reason I decided to replace it with the 14T Pro was its storage (128GB) was nearly full and I didn't want to either delete a load of photos and videos or remove them to another storage device or cloud.Sadly Xiaomi don't allow you to use a removable SD card, so you're stuck with whatever on-board storage the phone comes with. As the 14T Pro has 516GB and it's taken me five years to fill 128GB on the old phone, I decided it looked a good bet. And at the time (November 2024), Amazon were also offering it with 12 months of interest-free credit, so although it was £599, it wasn't going to destroy the wallet just before Christmas. And certainly, it's a fantastic device. The on-board software transferred everything possible, including all my photos and videos, from the old phone to the new one (it helped to leave it right by my WiFi router to speed it up), it takes great photos, it's intuitive to use and the processor is ultra fast. When you're setting it up, you'll be asked to approve a load of things (eg with the 'Cleaner') with a single click. Don't. You need to expand on this and laboriously go through every single 'please spy on me' button, from dozens of companies you've never heard of, and turn them off. Luckily, you'll only have to do this once.It comes with a charging cable but no charger and a plastic flexible case. As the camera lenses stick out from the back, the phone is more bulky than my old one and consequently feels a bit less 'premium' in the hand. It weighs about 240g with the case and sim card fitted, which is only about 4 grammes more than my old one. There's a load of unneccessary apps on the phone you will probably want to delete, but it's easy enough to do. I can't tell you about the wireless charging because I don't have the charger, I haven't tried any of the fingerprint recognition stuff and the battery life so far (after seven weeks) has been excellent. I've yet to get it down below 50% in a day, even after spending far too much time on it.So why only three stars? Very simply, if you haven't had a top-of-the-mid-range phone before, you're going to be absolutely blown away with this. Buy one, you won't regret it, it's five stars all the way for you. But if you already have something like my Mi 9T Pro, you're really not going to notice much difference, if any. It is 5G and has AI features of course, if they matter to you. They don't to me.I wonder if smartphones have reached a temporary plateau in terms of technological development? This is a great phone, but it's really not noticeably better to me than the one it's replacing. To sum up, if you've already got an earlier higher end Xiaomi, unless, like me, you've run out of storage space on it, you need to decide if it's worth buying one of these as although it's a great phone, your old one will be just as good in almost every respect.I hope this is helpful to you and I'd appreciate a click of the button if so. Thank you.

Good phone with the odd quirk (and I'd recommend the app drawer home screen over classic!)
On the whole I've had a decent experience with this phone. I migrated over from a pixel 6, which I have to say was super easy. Just remember to make sure whatsapp is freshly backed up on your old phone! :)The next thing I did was get a little frustrated with the interface, I think because I selected the 'classic' home screen. I gave it a few days, didn't get on with it then I eventually worked out that you can change it pretty easily by going to settings->home screen and change the home screen to "with app drawer" and that alleviated pretty much all of my annoyances straight away!So then for the most part, the OS behaves very much like (but not identical to) the stock android experience you get on a pixel phone so I felt pretty at home. Saying that, I did find the odd quirk which I guess is simply quirks with the OS (Hyper OS I believe it calls itself). You get the occasional UI glitch, and accessing the apps list all the icons sometimes 'flutter', before settling down which is a bit weird. I've also found it seems to take a few seconds whilst it seems to think about life when you navigate around - particularly returning to the home screen. So not sure what's going on there, as the phone should be performant enough to be able to handle the ui. Speaking of performance, It has a few different settings for performance and it defaults to 'balanced'. I tried the high performance mode and still got the odd blip. Despite this, it's not a deal breaker by any means, just hopeful that Xiaomi take the time to refine the OS - I have to say my pixel has been rock solid on that front for some time but when I first got it is also had the odd teething issue with the OS.Music through the phone is pretty decent, and sounds great through my edifier headphones so very happy on that front. The camera(s) can take some fantastic shots, though I actually found it a bit hit and miss overall. I'd put this down to software though to be honest, rather than the hardware - when you get a good photo, they look amazing. Again I think coming from a pixel you get used to some things in terms of the software quality and the google camera is particular good I think. Saying all that, the key point is it can take really great photos so not a deal breaker, might just take a bit of time to get used to it. I've included a photo of me at a gig, quite far back in a dark room so the photo isn't bad considering! The look and feel of the phone is really good - quite premium. Four cameras seems a bit OTT but that's the way of the mobile phone market these days. The case that came with it whilst basic looking feels great so that was a bonus.I'm not a massive gamer, but gave a few titles a whirl and performance was great on that front - I was able to select max settings on all the ones I tried and the phone performed just fine. A little warm at times but nothing to be concerned by!Charging is good, fast charge works really well and is quite impressive actually. The battery life seems really good too, I've not had any issues there. So overall, very happy, but hopeful for a few improvements to the OS and apps to iron out the little niggles

Bad reception.
I had to return that otherwise very nice phone with loads of great functions from a company I like quite much and had many phones from them for one and only reason: Very sketchy mobile signal reception. I don't know what was causing this but it may have something to do with modems they use in this model? With same sim cards on 3 other phones I have, there was no problem. With this phone people couldn't reach me most of the time.

XIAOMI 14T
Bought this as a replacement for my Redmi 11. Very happy with this item, price very competitive and holds it's own against the iPhone and Samsungs on the market. Admittedly I don't game which means my battery lasts at least 2 days. Easy to use, size isn't too big and fits in the hand nicely, screen size and clarity very good.

Fast charging compared to s24 ultra
Got this after an s24 ultra.Just as premium and cheaper as well. Not only that but it has much faster charging even over USB power delivery (65w).Added after a week or so later:Battery life not very good but hopefully will improve with an update.
