Item arrived partially open & spilled. Part A and B have drastically different LOT numbers. Packaging was clearly adulterated & packing-tapped shut. The foil seal on one of the items was compromised (hence the leak) by a medium sized tear. I am beginning to wonder if these are essentially "factory seconds" or "blemished" goods that are being sold on Amazon instead of to the retail market. I poured what remained of the spilled component into a plastic cup and then added an equal (1:1 by volume) amount of the still sealed compound. After stirring for 3 minutes, the mixed silicone was poured into an additional cup to see if it would cure at all. As anticipated, the silicone did NOT cure; I suspect something was wrong with the spilled component.

Product arrived intact and as described. Cheaper than ordering a trial pack from local Australian smooth-on distributors

Smooth On products all day long, love this company and all their materials. Eco Flex, though tacky when cured, has a remarkable low shore hardness and is very strong. Mold-making for extremely tricky undercut heavy pieces can be achieved with this stuff, so long as a mold-frame or mother-mold is in use for overall shape-stability. Takes pigments very well.

Used this to create a cast of a crumbling, very old (130 years) plaster crown molding. The salvaged pieces would turn to dust if handled with anything more than the lightest touch. The crown molding is native to the original build of the house, and we wanted to preserve it. Hence, we decided to make a silicone mold of the pieces if possible. Seemed impossible. Not impossible. This is one of the softest silicone casting materials around. We poured it very gently over some of the largest and most complete pieces we managed to retain. We used a 2" depth over the pieces. Surprised the hell out of us when this stuff captured every fine detail of these decaying remnants. From it we were able to cast and create much longer mold (6') of the crown molding. Hence, we preserved the original look of part of this house with this material. I remained convinced the softness of this material and the excellent fluidity vs viscosity of the liquid silicone played a vital role in casting something this delicate. We even managed to preserve some of the original plaster cast after taking it out of the finish mold. The high elasticity coupled with the overall softness of the hardened silicone made it easy to remove from the source material. That seemed remarkable to me. Highly recommend this product for casting delicate work.
