Fantastic looking toaster that works well, the lid is not wood though it’s plastic!!!
Fantastic looking toaster that works well, the lid is not wood though it’s plastic just in case you thought it was!I thought it was a wooden top because it looks like it in the pictures but was a little disappointed when it came & it was plastic! However it is a very good likeness to wood & you can’t tell until you pick it up.That aside the toaster is really nice aesthetically Pleasing to the eye & also touch, the casing has a really nice feel & texture to it & the finish is excellent. The toaster works well & has a variety of settings by number for your browning preference. It has a cancel button & a pop up rack for croissants etc, I’ve not used this feature yet.The take away here is that the top “cover” is plastic & not wooden, I don’t feel safe putting it straight back on top just after I’ve toasted my bread, I would with a wooden top but I’m wary with the plastic in case it warps, therefore it’s not as practical having to leave it off whilst the toaster cools down & having to come back later to have to put it back on. That’s my only problem with it though & it would be a 5 star review otherwise.

Great little toaster
I’ve always been using a £10 toaster from Asda for years and finally treated myself to a new Kettle and Toaster as I wanted to be more eco. Firstly it feels great quality and looks great, however as the other reviews suggested it is in fact small - meaning large loafs won’t fit. I use Hovis 50/50, and it fits in those slices absolutely fine sideways, upwards leaves an inch un toasted but it toasts quickly so I just flip it over no problem. The lid design is brilliant, especially when eventually go a bit funny like they always so, and it makes it look a lot sleeker. The pop up warmer is great addition, and the settings on the toaster are very easy to understand, as my issue with my previous one was hit and miss since I didn’t know what I was dialling to. It isn’t bright white either, more of an egg shell colour, but it looks much nicer anyway

Really sad about how terrible this is
Was this a junior designer on the job? Perhaps someone who had never made their own toast. Who signed this off as a product to go to run? Nepotism perhaps? I can’t think of any reason why anyone would buy and keep this useless bit of recycled plastic. Such an important mission, completely dashed. This doesn’t fit a normal slice of bread. That’s the basic premise for a toaster. Toast needs to be available for a whole slice. Not trying to toast a large bread slice…..I mean standard. The plastic cover is a daft idea and dangerous. Try again please. This just is an epic fail. Hope the kettle is better than this or it will be going back too!!!!

Disappointing
Purchased both kettle & toaster and am I returning toaster as sadly not fit for purpose, average family slice of bread is not compatible.. and therefore a third of bread is left untoasted..Also the top cover shown in photo looks like a great idea however no as it’s plastic so firstly there’s the possible risk of it melting and secondly in any busy household things get dropped and as it’s brittle I’m guessing it would crackIn the photo you’d be forgiven for thinking it was possibly wood..Very disappointing from a brand I trusted to deliver more, now stuck with kettle which will match replacement toaster, and yes sorry I’m quite particular like that..So at £49.99 I don’t consider it value for money or fit for function..

Good but smaller than standard loaf size
Really quite small have to squeeze a normal slice of bread in and it bends, nice looking unit though, makes toast.... has a warming thingy
