This has 6 levels. The highest level is barely warm. I wanted the heavy one but didn’t expect the lack of heat.

I was so looking forward to this weighted heating pad arriving. When it arrived, you can feel that it has a good weight to it and perfect to place on your lap. The non heated side feels nice and soft and feels perfect to use as you lay on your bed or couch in winter months reading a book, watching tv or doing whatever you like. However, this should be called a weighted "warming" pad since I've had it on the highest level (6 out of 6) and its warm at best. With 6 different levels it had the potential to get hot and allow folks to place it on the level that suits them. For me, I was looking forward to a hot heating pad, and this is not it. The weight on this feels great and for some the weight and warmth may be just what is needed. For me though I would have liked for this to get hotter than it is after sitting here for 30 minutes. This product should be made to get hotter, and it would be awesome!

Weighted heating pads provide an addition level of comfort when I am trying to sooth sore muscles. This weighted pad is a relatively heavy one at 3.5 pounds. It is full of small glass beads that allow the pad to conform to the area being treated when the pad is set over the ailing body part. In my case, I tend to use this on a sore hip and upper thigh, but it is also pleasant just for warming up. As I write I have it draped across my lap. Last night, a cool evening, I wore it over my shoulders; it has a six-foot cord and I could use this as I sat at a desk. There are six heat levels though it does take awhile for the pad to warm up, longer than a conventional pad…this in spite of the ad claiming that it heats quickly. There are a lot of glass beads to heat! It does not get as hot as other pads I have used, either, but I never use heating pads on high, anyway. I like that this large heating pad covers a lot of area, that it has an auto-turn-off for when I forget, and that one side of it is soft and plush. I also like the idea that it is washable since heating pads are against one’s skin and need regular cleaning. The one reservation I have about this pad, admittedly not yet tested, is laundering. Actually, this is always my concern regarding heating pads, but with this weighted one my concern grows. The instructions suggest that this can be put into a washing machine—briefly—and can then be briefly dried in a dryer. However, it is difficult to imagine washing and then drying a 3.5-pound fabric bag of glass beads with electrical wiring in it even for the few minutes suggested. It is equally difficult to imagine this pad drying as it lies flat after removal from the dryer since it must finish with an air-dry and can’t be hung on a line. For now, I will be spot cleaning this heating pad.

Beurer Weighted Heating pad does not heat up in 30 seconds, but it does heat up in a reasonable time, similar to other heating pads. It does have 6 heat levels. The control is very basic. It’s just a slide switch. One nice feature is that the control has small dots that someone with low or no vision can use to adjust the settings. The material is plush and velvety on one side. The other side is just plain fabric. The plain side gets warmest, in my opinion. The weight is soooo nice. It helps keep the heating pad in place and provides extra sensory input. The weights are not removable. It has a 240 min shut off. Cleaning isn’t straightforward. You can spot wash it with a cloth. Or it can be machine washed, but the instructions are like, “...remove the cord, fill the washer…add the heating pad, agitate 2 min…” It is machine washable, but be aware that you can’t just toss in the machine and forget it. It can’t be machine dried for more than a few minutes. Then it has to air dry, but not be hung. So, I will be trying to avoid washing this as much as possible. The removable cord is over 6 feet long. While this is a basic heating pad, the addition of the weights makes it a much better heating pad than average.

Not working. Very disappointing. How can I return and get refund?

Supplied defective product. By the time we find conversion plug which are not readily available in normal electrical stores, the specified period for return has lapsed. Now we're left with costly junk
