I started taking this supplement in my late 20s to help with hair loss. At my annual checkup, my functional doctor asked if I’d experienced any sexual dysfunction—since DHT blockers can sometimes cause that. At the time, I hadn’t noticed anything and didn’t think much of it. A few weeks later, though, I realized my libido had dropped, and my overall interest had dwindled. I immediately stopped taking the supplement to see if it would make a difference and added in some Tongkat Ali. Within a few weeks, everything was back to normal. Unfortunately, I seem to be one of the guys who’s sensitive to this, and I had no idea it could have that kind of effect. That said, I guess it was working, considering the side effects. I started using these about 5 months ago, to help with encouraging my hair growth and start preventing hair loss earlier! I am female, 26 yo and started to notice signs of hair loss that were due to stress and previous illness. I wanted something that could help, but without sacrificing a lot, and looking for healthier options in my research I found Saw Palmetto! I also use a serum every time I wash my hair and using both methods, I have seen a difference in hair production and more importantly hair loss. Saw Palmetto also has some studies about it helping with PCOS for any women experiencing that, maybe give it a shot! I will say it is not as effective as say Minoxidil, but if you want something that will not be as invasive as minoxidil and you are wanting to prevent some hair loss I would say give it a try. I repurchased my second bottle recently and will probably continue with taking this!
