I'd been using my previous toothbrush (from another leading brand) for a few years now and the battery had started to lose its charge a bit too quickly, which was the main reason I was on the lookout for a replacement.This one, while not exactly replete with extra options, is a definite upgrade. The battery life is excellent - I charge mine only once per week, and I'm pretty sure I could get away with leaving it longer than that if I wanted to. The vibration is also a lot smoother than my previous brush, which was a little more on the jolty side.This has two cleaning modes, 'clean' and 'white'. In truth, I haven't really noticed much difference between these modes. The 'white' mode seems to last longer, and the vibration feels a bit different, but I'm not convinced it really matters in practice which mode you use.I wasn't sure about the shape of the toothbrush heads before I got this. The ones for my previous brush are circular, which seems a bit more practical as far as flexibility is concerned. However, having now tried this, I'm converted. The fact the bristles are angled to a point at the top means you can get this into some really tight spots, and the bristles are nice and firm, so you get a really decent clean.It's a bit of a shame this doesn't have the connectivity to use the app, as some of the higher range options do, but it's a great toothbrush, nonetheless.

At the time of review, this costs just over £200, which is quite frankly a silly amount of money to pay for a toothbrush. When I told my Mum how much this cost, she audibly gasped (she's a manual user, and has never paid more than a fiver for a toothbrush in her 75 years on this earth!). Now the price has (and likely will be) much cheaper via discounts/coupons etc... But my score is based on the cost this would have been had I paid full price for it.I've used electric toothbrushes for years now, so I'm fully used to them. My current toothbrush is an Oral B Pro, and I'm wearing braces. I've used soft brushes during my orthontoic treatment, and had no issues. With this Philips brush, the head is bigger than what I'm used to (longer, more like those you find on standard manual toothbrushes in terms of width) but was soft and cleaned my teeth well. There's multiple modes on this, but I just use the default, which seemed fine. Yes, it certainly made my teeth feel clean, but then, so does my Oral B, which costs about a quarter of the price.It doesn't include a power adapter, which, quite frankly, is bonkers for something of this price. Yeah I know, we all probably have one already, and it saves waste, but what if you're moving from a manual to an electric for the first time? It seems like such a cheap move.It's not USB-C either, which would have saved a lot of hassle/space on the desk when charging.Ultimately, it's a quality toothbrush, from a decent brand. But is it worth £200? Not really, at least in my opinion. It does what I need it to, and I'm more than happy to use it, but wait until it's sub £100, which is a far better price to stomach for it.

I've used Phillips Sonicare brushes for around 8 years now after swapping from the other leading brand. I find the battery life is way better on these and mine have always lasted an absolute age before they need a recharge, whereas my wife is always recharging her other brand.I also find my teeth feel cleaner too and I really like the way these vibrate and the shape of the heads. It's also particularly useful being told when the head needs changing. My wife never got on with the way it vibrates as she just finds the experience a bit unpleasant, but you soon get used to it and the EasyStart feature is good for anyone who's new to the brand as it starts of slowly and then builds up over the next 14 successive uses as you get accustomed to it.I think the pressure alert is really good too, although once you get a good technique, you don't really need it moving forward.Personally I ignore the timer and pacer and just do my own thing, but I guess it's useful in establishing a good routine.I've no idea really what the difference is between the two modes - clean or white. I just leave it on clean!Personally, from experience, I find all I ever need are one fast speed, pressure alert, new brush alert and perhaps the timer - everything else is just bells and whistles that I never use. I'd never use an App so that would be wasted on me, so in my opinion, you get everything you need with this model.Having said that, I've previously been using the 4300 model and I can't really seem much difference in performance or functionality other than the price.Thankfully, these things tend to be on offer regularly.

💭 Vorwort-----------------------Nachdem sich nun meine elektrische Zahnbürste (von der Konkurrenz) nach 5 Jahren langsam in Wohlgefallen auflöst, war es Zeit für ein neues Modell. Bis jetzt hatte ich nur Bürsten mit einem rotierenden Kopf, sodass ich sehr gespannt war, wie gut sich eine Ultraschall-Zahnbürste macht. Vorweg: es ist ein ganz anderes, aber gutes Putzgefühl. Wie gut sich dieses Modell sonst macht, werde ich im Folgenden beantworten.👁️ Erster Eindruck-----------------------Die Zahnbürste kommt in einem hübsch gestalteten Karton. Auf der Vorderseite finden wir neben dem Foto der Zahnbürste auch einige Informationen wie z.B. die beiden Modi, das beiliegende Zubehör und mehr. Im Inneren liegt alles gut geschützt in separaten Papier-Beuteln.Die Bürste selbst macht einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck, was ich so nicht erwartet hatte. Wenn man sie anhebt, wird gleich der Ladezustand über 3 LED und der eingestellte Modus (eine von 2 LED) angezeigt. Auf der Rückseite besitzt die Bürste einen "Rollschutz" aus Gummi, sodass sie beim Hinlegen nicht umher rollen kann. Auch die Ladestation besitzt Gummi-Füße, sodass sie weit stabiler an Ort und Stelle bleibt als meine bisherige Station.Etwas schade finde ich, dass kein USB-Netzteil beiliegt - aus Umweltschutz-Gründen, wie es heißt - da man allerdings nicht so oft eine elektrische Zahnbürste kauft und damit Netzteile ansammelt, hätte ein solches meiner Ansicht nach für den Preis durchaus beiliegen dürfen. Da jedoch bei der restlichen Verpackung sehr auf Umweltschutz geachtet wurde (Stichwort: Papier-Beutel), ziehe ich keine Sterne ab.📦 Lieferumfang-----------------------1x Elektrische Zahnbürste (Hauptgerät)1x Zahnbürste (Aufsatz)1x Ladestation mit USB-A-Anschluss1x Reise-Gehäuse (schön stabil)✏️ Nutzung-----------------------Nachdem man die Zahnbürste aufgesteckt hat, kann man den Knopf an der Vorderseite drücken und losputzen. Im Gegensatz zu meiner bisherigen Zahnbürste ist das Putzgefühl ein gänzlich anderes. Die Zahnbürste gibt einen höheren Ton von sich und der Kopf "vibriert" im Grunde nur sehr schnell. Das finde ich sehr gut, da mir der rotierende Kopf mit seinen kleinen, beweglichen Teilen immer etwas suspekt war und sich vor allem schlechter reinigen ließ.In regelmäßigen Abständen ändert sich ganz kurz die Frequenz / Geschwindigkeit, sodass man einen zeitlichen Indikator hat und dann einen anderen Bereich weiter putzen kann. Nach Ablauf der Putzzeit schaltet sich die Bürste dann automatisch aus. Das ist auch besonders auf Reisen sehr praktisch, damit der Koffer nicht vibriert und das Personal irritiert.Etwas schade finde ich, dass dieses Modell (im Gegensatz zum nächst teureren Modell) keinen sehr sichtbaren Indikator für zu festes Putzen besitzt - es leuchtet dann am Griff eine sehr kleine LED. Da jedoch das teurere Modell nahezu doppelt so viel kostet, ziehe ich für dieses Feature keine Sterne ab.⭐ Bewertung & Fazit-----------------------Die Zähne fühlen sich tatsächlich sehr sauber an - das hatte ich so erstmal nicht erwartet, da ja nichts an der Bürste rotiert. Alles macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Cette brosse à dents est peu bruyante et à une bonne autonomie. Elle possède une alerte de pression qui diminue les vibrations et fait vibrer la brosse à dents si on appuie trop fort. Il y a deux modes de brossage et c'est amplement suffisant. C'est un très bon produit mais je trouve que le prix est un peu élevé. Ça reste une brosse à dents moyenne gamme par rapport à ses fonctionnalités. Mais elle est vraiment très bien pour assurer un nettoyage des dents parfait. On débute avec cette brosse à dents par le mode easy start qui permet de s'habituer progressivement au brossage par les vibrations. La brosse à dents est livrée avec un étui de transport et un chargeur pour lequel il faut prévoir une alimentation secteur. Dans l'ensemble c'est une très bonne brosse à dents sonique mais un peu chère.

Im Rahmen des Vine-Programmes durften wir die beiden Varianten 5500 sowie 7100 der Philips Sonicare Schallzahnbürste testen.Ich selber habe vorher eine Ultraschallzahnbürste verwendet, vorher hatte ich bereits eine Philips Sonicare einer älteren Generation - damals war ich mit der Sonicare nicht so zufrieden und bin deshalb auf eine Ultraschallzahnbürste ausgewichen. Nun also ein neuer Versuch :)Beide Zahnbürsten wirken sehr wertig und werden mit einer Ladestation geliefert - allerdings liegt keine Ladeadapter bei. Da sich diese mittlerweile aber in jedem Haushalt finden sollten, finde ich das sehr gut - nicht noch ein Teil, welches rumliegt. Des Weiteren liegt bei beiden Varianten ein Reiseetui bei: bei der Variante 5500 ein einfaches, bei der teureren Variante 7100 mit einer zusätzlichen Lademöglichkeit, so dass man die eigentliche Ladestation auf Reisen nicht mitnehmen muss.Beide Varianten haben den normalen Clean und einen White Modus in 3 unterschiedlichen Stärken - und man sollte wirklich mit der untersten Stärke beginnen - sonst kann es schnell unangenehm werden.Die Variante 7100 hat zwei zusätzliche Modi: sensitive und gum health.Bei der teureren Variante liegen zwei Bürstenköpfe bei, bei der einfacheren nur einer. Die Bürstenköpfe unterscheiden sich etwas, ich nehme mal an, dass bei der 7100 der etwas hochwertigere Bürstenkopf beiliegt.Vom Putzgefühl sind sie identisch. Es gibt eine Andruckkontrolle, die bei beiden Varianten akustisch erfolgt. Bei der 7100 leuchtet zusätzlich noch ein Lichtring am Zahnbürstenboden auf.Für die 7100 gibt es noch eine App Anbindung. In der App kann man sehen, ob man gut geputzt hat und wann man den Bürstenkopf tauschen sollte. Nettes Tool, aber ob man es wirklich braucht, sei mal dahingestellt.Fazit: im Prinzip sind sich die Zahnbürsten recht ähnlich. Die Variante 7100 hat zusätzlich:- zwei weitere Modi- einen zusätzlichen Lichtring für die Andruckkontrolle- das hochwertigere Reiseetui mit Lademöglichkeit- etwas hochwertigere Bürstenköpfe (2) - im Gegensatz zu nur einem Bürstenkopf bei der 5500- eine App AnbindungOb das einem die 90 Euro Preisunterschied wert ist, muss jeder selber entscheiden.Beide Bürsten gefallen mir jedenfalls sehr gut und machen ihren Job ordentlich - meine Zähne sind sehr gut gepflegt und Verfärbungen werden zuverlässig entfernt.

J'ai commandé la Philips Sonicare 5500 et je suis vraiment content de son efficacité. Dès la première utilisation, j'ai senti une vraie différence : mes dents semblent plus lisses et plus propres. Les deux modes (nettoyage et blanchiment) sont parfaits pour ajuster selon mes besoins. L'alerte de pression est également très utile pour éviter de trop appuyer et se faire mal.Le design est élégant, surtout avec la couleur bleu marine, et la prise en main est très agréable. Le petit plus est la trousse de voyage pratique incluse qui permettra de la transporter partout ! Très satisfait de mon achat, je recommande vivement à tous ceux qui cherchent un brossage de qualité professionnelle à la maison.
