The initial thought was, wow it's almost black yikes! However, I applied it (without gloves) on damp hair and left it for 2, 3 minutes rinsed and conditioned. It doesn't "stain" your hair or make it feel brittle, lathers well. No distinct smell that is bothersome. I've used three times and I like that my brown brassiness is calmer, less noticeable. I will continue to use this shampoo.

I finish the bottle twice by washing it. Nice for maintaining the color.

I like the way my hair looks and feels after I use it and condition it and blow dry.

Lathers nicely. Great product for naturally curly hair. Leaves hair with a nice soft sheen. Highly recommended for color treated hair.

I have never had good look with color-depositing shampoos, and I think maybe that's because my hair is reddish/auburn and red is a really hard pigment to make stick? I've tried a few different brands of color-depositing shampoos and none of them really make a difference on me. I guess some people can see a subtle difference, but nothing like the effects of actually color-treating your hair.Personally I don't want to sit in the tub for a half hour while I let the shampoo do its thing, but my impatience isn't why I gave it three stars. I think products like this one advertise something they don't deliver on. This product did not "deposit color" on my hair, and I haven't seen any noticeable change in the color. It's a fine shampoo, but any shampoo can clean your hair. This sort of works if you spend the time letting it soak into the hair, but even then the results are far less than dramatic.

This is a easy to use product in the shower. However, it doesn’t refresh the hair that much unless you still want some dye on your towels.This is my first color boosting product so I can’t compare with others. But as a first time user I’m satisfied.

I was hoping this would brighten up my fading blue but I just don’t see any difference. The directions don’t say how long to leave it on your hair, which might be the issue. I’m giving it 2 stars just because it is still shampoo so I can still use it for that.
