Flawed design
The sound quality from the speakers is superb. However, they are balanced about 20% to the left and even with high quality speaker cable I could only get the balance to about 10% to the left. Unfortunately, there was no way to set the balance from the TV to compensate for this design flaw in the Yamaha HS3 which should have come with a built-in balance control to compensate for this issue. I had the same issue with two packs of HS3 Speakers, both of which I have had to return to Amazon France.I checked the speakers with a pair of headphones and when listening through the headphones the sound was 100% correctly balanced on both Yamaha HS3 units I had.I did notice that the Black Terminal of the left speaker did not securely hold the cable when compared to the red terminal of the left speaker and both terminals of the right speaker. The speakers should really have connection posts so that you can either screw the connection or better still use banana plugs. They are supposed to be high quality reference speakers, but because of this design flaw they are only of any use if you are slightly deaf in your left ear.
