Betty Crocker Cornbread and Muffin Baking Mix, 6.5 oz. (Pack of 9)

I really love this corn bread mix. It is easy to make and it taste delicious. It is not too sweet and it is moist. I buy it all the time now.

Just made one pack of this corn bread for my family. They liked it. It wasn’t too sweet or salty, so with additions you could change the muffins into either a savory or a sweet corn muffin. One pack made exactly 6 muffins in cupcake papers. I might spray the papers lightly with oil next time for easier release. For the price, this is a great side dish.

Delicious. Made mine in muffin pan with liners. I used Kerrygold butter and whole milk. My guests loved them as they aren't sweet. Nice corn meal texture the way a cornbread should be so many of them that I've bought from grocery stores pre-made taste more like a cupcake. Order these because I could not find any mixes in the grocery store that weren't full of sugar while these are not certainly sugar-free far less sugar than what I found in my local Publix. For years I used jiffy but I wanted to try something different this year and I'm very pleased I made batches and because this order comes with nine small bags I gave one bag to my guest as they left yesterday because she liked them so much. One bag makes six nice size muffins which is nice if you just want to make a small batch. I will definitely buy this again but I think next time I'm going to play around with the recipe perhaps either adding cheese or little jalapeno pepper. At this price you can afford to experiment these were certainly cheaper too then what my local grocery store was charging.

The corn muffin mix is fairly decent, especially if you’re in a hurry. But, it is definitely dry. An easy fix is to use creamed corn instead of milk. For a fluffier cornbread, make 2 packages at a time, and add one of those small 8.5 ounce cans of creamed corn. Del Monte sells these smaller cans, but your grocer may have other brands, as well. If you only have regular sized cans (15.5 ounces), then just measure out 8.5 ounces. Focus on getting more ‘cream,’ than kernels of corn. Serve the leftover creamed corn as a side dish, or save it in the refrigerator (maximum 3 days) to use in another batch of cornbread. You will only need to add a few extra minutes of baking time for the double-batch. Do NOT double the cooking time just because you’re using 2 packages of mix. Start with just 5 extra minutes, and then add a bit more if your knife or toothpick doesn’t come out clean. Each oven is different (I use a toaster oven) so you’ll have to be the judge. I bake the cornbread in an 8x8 pan, so again, the baking time may vary if you use a different size, or if you’re making corn muffins. The creamed corn adds a touch of sweetness to the cornbread, but you can always add a teaspoon of sugar to the mix if you like it extra sweet.

I love cornbread . I bake it in a cast iron skillet so that it's got a little bit of a crusty edge . This is one of the better cornbread mixes that I've ever found . It's quick and easy the flavor is really good . I bought it to add to my food storage and I will be buying it again . This is well worth the money you spend you get more for less by purchasing it off of Amazon .

Not sure what the magic ingredient here is but it beats any other pancake mix available in Oz hands down. Way more expensive in Amazon au than in a Walmart store but week worth it.
