I bought two of these for my chihuahuas that have sensitive skin. We have a lot of fleas in my area. I had to resort to a brand that is very toxic last year, but that was the only one that worked on fleas. There were mentions of that brand causing seizures and death because it was so strong. I was reluctantly going to reorder for this season when I saw this new product. I gave it a try, and have waited several months to write this review. It works. Perfectly. When I had my dogs to the vets and of course they wanted to sell me their flea meds I told them I was using this and it was organic/oils. They didn't think oils could work. I invited them to use their flea comb in a challenge to find one flea or egg. They couldn't find one. I tried to sell them on the fact this really works, it's new. They didn't listen. But I need to tell you it does work and I am sure essential oils and not poison is much better for your dog. So happy with this product and will buy again every year. Thank you

I never heard of this brand before. I'm on a budget, read the details. Impressed that it is 8 month protection. I had flea issues last year, and decided to get a flea collar for this year. I like that it is Natural Formula with Essential Oils (Pleasant smell). I like that it controls Fleas, Ticks, and Mosquitoes. Allergy Free! It says Waterproof, but I have only had the collar on my dog for about a week. LOVE the packaging. Collar was in a sealed, plastic wrapped bag. Really surprised that a Flea comb was included. Also impressed that the owner sent me a private email asking if I received the package safely. ALSO, very impressed with the design of the collar. Another brand (well known) that I used in the past did not include a loop to put the extra length into (like a belt). This actually has 2 loops to tuck the extra length into.

I purchased this collar for my medium sized mostly indoor dog in May 2019. Within a month of her having it on, I found a fully engorged tick in my house, that could only have come from her (no other dogs or animals that go outside). Since it wasn't physically on her, I kept using the collar and hoped that it was a fluke. Fast forward to mid-October 2019. I have never taken the collar off her and have not noticed any other issues until now. She ran off overnight in a heavily wooded/field area and returned the next morning. Over the course of 4 days, we found nearly 30 ticks on her. Needless to say, the collar is definitely ineffective for the guaranteed 8 month duration, and probably was ineffective from the start. Although she was not bothered by the collar at all (no neck irritation, health problems, etc), it is clearly a waste of money for us and we will not be purchasing it again.

i have been buying natural flea & tick collars for my dogs for years and this is the first time trying this brand...i have to say the appeal of natural is that besides no chemicals, there was always a nice fresh smell of whatever oils are used as repellents...but i am sorry to say this collar has no odor what so ever...I thought that was unusual...so i am not sure if it will work, and for 8 months no less???? ..I also don't like that there is no stopping/locking method on the buckle...i will be surprised if this collar even remains on my dog for a few weeks...it already had been slipping and getting larger...well, that is all i can say about it right now...I guess time will tell...

I bought this because I had a dog once that had a horrible reaction to the chemical drops. The prescriptions work great but they are very expensive. This was the best choice for me because my little girls love to run around when we go to the country and I wanted them protected. It seemed to do the job, no unwanted critters.Just a funny to share, since I take my dogs collars off at bedtime they had to have the flea collar come off also. So every night I would 'get them ready for bed and take off collars' and in the morning 'get them dressed and put both collars on' and they were fine.

This product is great! I didn't want to keep giving our dog and cat chemicals to keep them healthy, and since I use oils personally, I wanted to try this product. It took a couple of days for my German Shepherd to be fully protected but I literally watched mosquitos hover above her and not land. I am unsure how it works against fleas and ticks but mosquitos were my biggest concern. We live in the tropics so those pests are horrible down here. I love the scent! In fact, it helps with the "dog smell." The only problem I have with this collar is that the buckle is not very effective at holding the collar in place. I used a small zip tie and tied it to her regular collar. Now if it comes undone, it won't get lost.

I have 9 rescue dogs of my own as well as two rescue cats. I love these collars so far and the only suggestion I would make is that the loops to hold the extra part of the collar somehow be more secure. The lengths continue to come out of the two loops, which sometimes bother the dogs, and the collar loosens, but otherwise I am very satisfied.I work for an animal rescue group and I like to test products on my own dogs before we/I recommend them to my adopters. So it would be nice if this could be resolved as I otherwise think this is a very good alternative to Seresto Collars. Thank you. Sharon Lamberd, Safe at Last Rescue Foster Parent.

The Primova flea collar is just great for so many reasons!!! Let's start with price - which those of us who are more"mature" have to be concerned with, then there's the ease of use, other brands including the $50 ones are difficult to put on, especially if your furry friend doesn't like to be held in place. I have had to trim and bend others but not the Primova. I don't like to use heavy chemicals on my Westie so the natural ingredients in the Primova are wonderful, yet effective! Las of all my dog and my carpets don't smell like a chemical factory, in fact, there's hardly an scent at all after only a few hours. For me and Maverick, my 14 year old Westie, Primova is a great new collar.
