I have been using this Razor for long long time - I needed a replacement . 1. The earlier one which I was using had a heavy body and with the vibration it gave a very smooth shave. The weight of the razor kept it close to skin while the vibration stimulated the skin. 2. The newer version which I got now is plasticky, light , noisey and not as smooth as the earlier version was. With much lesser weight it does not stay close to skin giving a much poorer shaving experience. 3. Since this is much lighter with vibration it more looks like a toy then the earlier one which with its weight stimulated the skin and helped making a great shave. 4. Gillette is supposed to give quality product at a higher than the market price for the same category of products - this compromise in quality is unbelievable. 5 . I would not recommend the product if you have used the earlier version !

Guys this is one of the best razors that you can buy for this price. Some say that they didn't like the build quality and the materials used in this razor body...but I've been using it for the past 3 years and it still works and looks the same way when I used it for the first time. Blades are super safe and shaves very smooth and cleanly. This is the first razor I bought and I must say I've not got the need to look for a new one for the last 3 years. However the blades are quite expensive. But its built quality and the comfort it provides are truly amazing ...and it lasts for a long time too. The first blade stayed sharp for around 5 months ( I shaved 1 time a week) after which it was still usable but I changed it. If you're looking to invest in a good razor for a long time this is the one. Take good care of it and it will serve you a long time. If you're a first time buyer this is the one to get.
