Great little kit for a Mario enthusiast
My eight year old son loves Mario. He really enjoyed putting this together and playing with the Mario to make the different sounds. The characters look good. It kept him busy for about an hour and a half, and now he is displaying the characters in his room.

A healthy twist on a video game to get a kid moving
My 6 year old grandson asked for this for Christmas. When it came, he built the pieces himself, then I helped him download the app and update Mario. Then we both followed the app and learned all the different moves with each station to earn coins. The app then directs you how to build a course that you must follow performing the learned moves to obtain all the coins and make it to the end before the time runs out. I enjoyed it as much as him. The best part, he's playing the video game, but actually moving around a table and using his arms and hands. Great way to keep a kid off the couch.
